Vampires vs. Werewolves Roleplay (The one with twilight charries)

"Hush honey, and pull out this girl's chair." His mother said.
Zach sighed good-naturedly and pulled out the chair next to where he'd been sitting, offering it to Rebecca.

Zachs father returned, followed by a petite blonde woman and another tall man. "Anabel." he said tightly, looking at Sachs mother, the atmosphere in the room going from warm and welcoming to subzero in seconds. "What's the meaning if this?"
Zachs mother refused to meet his father's eyes, "I may have neglected to mention that Caroline would be stopping by to introduce us to her fiance." She said.
"Yeah, mom, that would have been helpful." the blonde woman said, her eyes scanning the room, sliding over Zach as if he weren't even there, before landing on Rebecca. "And who are you?" she asked.

Caroline nodded. "Mom, this is Patrick."

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Patrick, Caroline speaks very warmly about you." Anabel said. Zach scoffed.
"What?" Caroline snapped, looking at Zach for the first time.
"Oh, nothing. I just find it hard to believe you talk warmly about anything. Weren't you fourteen when you kicked that stray puppy, Caroline?" Zach said.
Caroline's eyes narrowed. "I doubt you understood what you saw, you brat. Wasn't that around the time you stupidly jumped off the roof into a kiddie pool and broke your arm?" Zach's eyes narrowed in return.

"Now, Caroline." Zach's dad said sternly.
"Oh, that's great Brian." Caroline said sarcastically. "Why didn't you say anything to your son when he called me a puppy kicker?"
"Well, you did kick the puppy. I was on the phone with the owner for an hour." Brian said.
"The damn thing tried to bite me!" Caroline said.

"No way, you're cooking's delicious, mom." Zach and Caroline said at the same time. They shot each other surprised looks, then fell silent again.

"Fine." she said. "I work in the public relations department of the business I work for, and Patrick worked for a partnering company of ours and I went over to their headquarters to discuss some stuff with their marketing department, and we shared an elevator. Nothing that epic."

"So...how long will you be in town, Caroline?" Brian asked.
"A few weeks. We both got some time off from work, decided this little middle-of-nowhere town would be a good place to start some basic wedding plans and stuff." Caroline replied without really looking at him.
"And you, dad?" Zach asked. "How long will you be in town?"
"As far as I know, I should be here for at least the rest of the summer." Brian replied, and Zach couldn't help the smile that spread across his face.

"Oh, please dear. If you did it more, and were a little less OCD about it, you'd have gotten the hang of it by now." Anabel said, laughing.
Once he'd gotten his hair as manageable as he could, Zach walked downstairs just as his dad walked in.
