"But I will do it." Sabrina said. "Trust me on this." she looked at Alek. "You know how afraid I an if hurting someone. I wouldn't come if I didn't know I'd be fine."

"Don't you want me to go with you?" Sabrina asked curiously. "I swear, nothing will happen."
Alek sighed. "Fine. Can I just go to the hospital now?"
Sabrina shrugged. "I'm not stopping you." she said.
Rebecca shrugged and pulled out of the drive way.
Sabrina kept glancing at the rearview mirrors at Alek worriedly.
Alek groaned loudly, in pain. every time they went over a bump.
Sabrina started pointing out bumpy spots in the road long before a regular person could usually see them, allowing Rebecca time to avoid most of them.
When they pulled up to the hospital, Rebecca went inside to get a wheelchair for Alek. "Move as slow as you possibly can," she told Sabrina when she got back, while she helped Alek out of the car. "Even then you'll still be to fast, but its our best shot. And don't break my brothers car."
Sabrina nodded and got out as slowly as she could, pushing the door shut with one finger, and even then it slammed shut.
"This is such a bad idea," Rebecca sighed pushing Alek inside.Carlisle was just starting his shift coming in through a door on the other side of the room. When he saw them going toward the registration desk he went over quickly and said he'd take them. "What happened?" He asked. "It's only been an hour."
"Sorry Carlisle," Alek said, "I was trying to distract, Sabrina from killing someone else. So I did that thing from the wolves legends. I knew she wouldn't kill me, but I wasn't sure about the other guy."
You got that idea from a legend! Sabrina thought, but stayed quiet. She would have smacked him if she didn't think she'd only end up hurting him more.
"Well from the sound of the circulatory system you need a blood transfusion," Carlisle said, then sniffed the air. "Type AB."Alek nodded.
Sabrina tried to hear what Carlisle heard, putting all her attention to her hearing to distract her from the dull burn in her throat that had developed at the word' blood'.
"I'll have a nurse set you up," Carlisle said. "Rebecca, would you take him to room two? And you come with me Sabrina." He put a hand on her shoulder and led her away from the others, towards his office.
Confused, Sabrina allowed him to lead her away.
"You know you shouldn't have come right," Carlisle said.
"Oh, everyone's made that perfectly clear." Sabrina said.
"That's because it's extremely dangerous," he told her, "for everyone."
"Nothings going to happen." Sabrina said.
"You can't be sure of that," Carlisle said. "If I had let you go into the room with Alek and you were surrounded by all those blood bags that you wouldn't have ripped them open and drenched you clothes in more blood?"
Carlisle raised an eyebrow, not believing her. So he pulled out a blood bag and put it out on the desk.
Sabrinas jaw tightened and her throat burned to the point of pain. She gritted her teeth and narrowed her eyes at Carlisle, but didn't move.
"You can't take any risks," Carlisle said, the blood still on his desk. "If you don't slouch just right, or be to still for to long you will draw attention to yourself. If you do that you will call the attention of the Voltouri."
Sabrina adjusted her posture accordingly. "I'm fine." she said through gritted teeth.
Carlisle shook his head. "You are the most stubborn new born I have ever met," he said.
"Let me see how he's doing." Sabrina pleaded. "I'll be on my best behavior, I swear."
"Alright," Carlisle sighed. "Be sure that you are; and make sure you go as slow as you can."
Sabrina nodded and left to find Alek, forcing herself to breath and using her breaths to pace her steps so she didn't walk too fast. When she found him, the scent of blood hit her like a brick wall but she went in anyway even though breathing now felt like showing a hot knife down her throat. "How are you?" she asked him.
"I'm fine," Alek said. He was sitting in a chair with a magazine, a tube filled with dark red liquid stretching from his arm to the three AB blood bags on the pole beside him.
"Positive? " Sabrina asked, standing beside him.
Alek nodded. "I'll be done in a few minutes and then we can get out of her."
Sabrina nodded, then stood quietly, constantly having to remind herself to shift and breath.
"You look really uncomfortable," Alek said. "Do you want to go wait in the car?"
Alek shrugged since there was no way for him to make her go. He leaned his head back against the chair and let his eyes drift shut.
Sabrina distracted herself from all the blood by devoting her time to watching over Alek closely, making sure nothing unusual happened.
Alek's eyes opened for a moment and saw her. "How long has it been since you blinked last?" He asked. "You're being too still."
"I am blinking." Sabrina insisted, but she also devoted some attention to reminding herself to shift around, which also helped to distract from all the blood around her.
Alek started getting bored so he pulled out his phone and and some headphones and put on the new Coldplay album to listen too.
Sabrina listened in, grateful for any distraction.

Sabrina sat next to him and listened.
After a while a nurse came in and started disconnecting tubes, accidentally spilling a few drops of blood on the floor. Alek held her arm as tight as he could, knowing that if she decided she wanted to get up it wouldn't even slow her down.
Despite the fact that Sabrina felt in her bones that Alek's hold on her wouldn't be harder to break than swatting a fly it gave her something else to focus on, something more important than the tantalizing scent of the blood, the only reason she was there in the first place - him. That and the idea that if she messed up in any way it would ultimately hurt Alek - which she was determined never to do again - kept her perched on the armrest of his chair just like any other supportive girlfriend rather than lunging at both the nurse and the blood, like part of her wanted to.
"Alright, Mr. Petrov, you're good to go. Just take it easy," the nurse said, leaving the room without picking up the blood. "Come on love," Alek said, getting up and taking her hand.
Sabrina eyed the blood nervously, and didn't hold Alek's hand back, afraid that she'd hold it too hard and hurt him in her stressed state.
Alek tried to start walking, hoping that she would get the hint and follow, since he couldn't actually lead her anywhere.
