"So we keep going until she doesn't," Jacob said.

"I don't know. . ." Susannah said unsurely.
Susannah shrugged. "I don't know." she admitted.
"If we don't get rid of her once and for all she will just keep attacking you," Jacob said.
"I know. you're right." Susannah replied.
"So what's the problem?" Jacob asked.
Jacob sighed. "How about this, if it bothers you you don't have to do it. It'll just be me, and you won't even know that's what I'm doing. One day I'll just come in and tell you that she's dead, for good. Deal?"
Susannah nodded. "Alright." she said.
"I won't even start today," Jacob said. "We can do something else. What would you like?"
Susannah thought for a second. "I really want to go outside." she said.
"Anywhere in particular?" Jacob asked.
"The lake." Susannah said, using the table to pull herself to a standing position.
Jacob wrapped his arm around her waist and leaned her weight against him.
"thanks." Susannah said, leaning against him as she started walking.
"Any time," Jacob said, kissing the top of her head.
"You want me to carry you?" Jacob asked.
Susannah shook her head. "Not yet." she said.
Jacob nodded and shifted to lean more of her weight on him.
Jacob struggled to keep the slow pace that Susannah needed, wanting very much to lift her off her feet and run at great speeds to the lake.
When she stumbled and fell, Susannah finally said, "Ok, I could use some help.", breathing heavily.
Jacob gently lifted her and carried her, bridal style, the rest if the way to the lake.
Susannah wrapped her arms around his neck.
When they got to the lake, Susannah climbed out of his arms.
Jacob put a hand on her back to steady her.
Susannah walked a few feet, then sat down by the lake.
Jacob sat behind her with his legs on either side of her, so she could lean back against him.
Susannah rested her head against his chest.
Jacob took out his phone and texted Alek to go and start the process of killing Adrian.
"If you had to guess, how do you think Christian is doing?" Susannah asked him conversationally.
"Mooning over your cousin," Jacob said with a laugh. After he got a confirmation from Alek that he would take care of Adrian he texted the pack that Alek was doing some work for him and was allowed on their land.
"Who've you been talking to?" Susannah asked curiously. "Everything ok?"
Jacob nodded. "Just some pack stuff to take care of," he said.
Susannah nodded, but a fit of coughing kept her from continuing the conversation.
Rebecca rubbed and patted her back.
"That was weird. . ." Susannah mumbled before her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she lost consciousness.
Jacob started to panic. He called Alek and put the phone, on speaker, beside him in the grass. While it rang he checked her pulse and breathing.
Susannah's pulse and breathing were both weak, but steady.
"Yeah, Jake I just got to the reservation," Alek answered. "I'm on my way to the garage now." "Forget about all that. Something is really wrong with Susannah. I need you to come to the lake, you know the one in the woods."
"I'm on," Aleks voice came out of the phone, "my way." He finished right behind him.
Susannah remained unconscious and unresponsive.
"What happened?" Alek asked kneading over her. "We were talking, she started coughing, and then she passed out."
While Jacob spoke Alek checked her pulse and breathing as Jake had, but it took him less than a fraction of the time. He decided to go with what seemed the simplest, he snapped his fingers and a small flame sparked to life in his hands. He let it grow for a second until it was about the size if a yoyo-ball, then used it to light her on fire.
Susannah's clothes, usually protected due to her own protection from fire, started to singe.
"This may sting," Alek muttered, then with a wave of his hand it began to rain over them, dousing the flame.
the rain had no affect on her skin and she didn't react to it.
