"Enough time for what?" Susannah asked.

"To figure out how to keep you from going with him," Jacob said, "and to do whatever it is we figure out. I once again would like to bring up Mexico."
"I stink at spanish." Susannah said.
"Fine then," Jacob said. "California it's sunny so Alek can't follow, near by so we can get there quickly, and they speak english there so no foreign language required."
Susannah sighed. "I cant's justify leaving school."((G2G))
"How can you not justify it when leaving could potentially save your life?" Jacob asked
"Because we can't be sure it will." Susannah said. "We aren't even sure if my life's in danger."
"He is a psychotic vampire! What more proof do you need!?" Jacob said starting to raise his voice.
"Is it crazy not to want to leave my home!" Susannah said. "I've already had to leave my house. Forks is my home. Without my mom and this town, what else do I have?!" she finished, tears welling up in her eyes.
"You'll have me," Jacob said, taking her face in his hand. "No matter what you will always have me."
"Right." Susannah said, the tears leaving her eyes and running down her face, "Sorry."
Jacob wiped away her tears with his thumb. "Never forget," he whispered, "how much you mean to me."
Susannah shook her head. "I won't." she said. "If you remember the same."
"Never," Jacob said. "And if you really don't want to leave you don't have to."
"I'll do whatever you think is best." Susannah said. "Odds are you've thought about it more than I have."
"I hadn't given it any thought until you came back," Jacob said. "I thought I might never see you again once you left with him."
"What are we going to do?" Jacob asked. "Please don't make me let him take you again."{{srry i was watching my favorite show.}}
"I can't think of a better solution." Susannah said.
"But Susannah," Jacob protested, whining somewhat.
"I'm sorry." Susannah said. "Really."
"Why do you have to go?" Jacob asked.
"Because if I don't he'll hurt you." Susannah said.
"I don't care about that," Jacob said. "You are all that matters."
"And when I say the same thing, we'll be back where we started." Susannah said.
"Please?" Jacob asked quietly putting his forehead against hers.
"Please stay with me," Jacob said wrapping his arms around her.
"Don't you think I want to?" Susannah said. "But I want to keep you in one piece more."
"Has there ever been a problem I couldn't handle for you?" Jacob asked. "I stopped Kahlan on numerous occasions, got you from the Mord sith, I killed Balthazar and Adrian."
"You're right." Susannah said. "But I should be able to handle my own problems too."
"But he isn't the kind of problem you can handle on your own," Jacob said. "Vampires won't burn till they're torn apart. You're not able to tear a vampire apart."
"We don't even know what he wants yet." Susannah said.
"You've seen what he does you think whatever he wants is a good thing?" Jacob asked.{{btw I changed Alek's charrie thingy again, i just took off the part about being a member of the Order because I couldn't get that to work out right in my head.}}
((ok, I'll re-read it))"No." Susannah admitted. "But still."

"Well what would you have us do?" Jacob asked.
"Wait. And think. I think that's all we should do right now." Susannah said.
"And when he comes tomorrow?" Jacob asked.
"I won't let him take you," Jacob told her.
"And I'm not going to let him hurt you. If that means I have to go with him, then so be it." Susannah said.
"You don't have to protect me I can take care of myself," Jacob said.
"What did you tell me earlier? This isn't a problem you can fix by yourself?" Susannah said.
"Yes it is," Jacob said, "I can tear him apart."
"Or, and I'm just spit balling here, he can confess you and have you rip yourself apart. Or better yet, he can take your wolf powers from you. See where I'm going with this?" Susannah said.
"It's not confession," Jacob said. "It's just similar. The spell can't outweigh the desire to live the way confession can."
"That's not the point!" Susannah said. "The point is that he's super powerful, whereas your only super strong."
"Well what do you want me to do?!" Jacob snapped.
"I can't do nothing!" Jacob said.
