I'm working my way through The Dresden Files. It's definitely one of those series that gets better as it goes along.

Denise wrote: "I'm working my way through The Dresden Files. It's definitely one of those series that gets better as it goes along."I've been meaning to read these for ages. I have all of them on my Kindle but don't want to start another big series until I finish with one or two other ones.
My next five or six reads are all accounted for. Library books, you see. Nonfiction library books.
Oh, I have books out from the library. I just don't seem to be in the mood for any of them at the moment. I think I've just been working too much, so I'm tired and uninspired.
I guess I am very compulsive. When I have anything from the library I must read it before reading other stuff. It would be nice if I were as compulsive about other things, like cleaning.

I know what you mean. I love books in series and have so many I've never touched yet. I made a promise to myself, no more re-reading of old favourites until I've knocked out some new ones!

Just finished Howl - Annalise Grey which I found very good. Now I am about to make a start on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson.

Finished The Blog of Maisy Malone - Eve Ainsworth on Friday. I started Six Geese A-Laying - Sophie Kinsella on Saturday evening and finished it this yesterday morning. Didn't think much of the storyline. Last night I started Merry Christmas, Alex Cross - James Patterson
Reading Cold Days by Jim Butcher.....love The Dresden Files. I've been waiting for this book to come out for more than a year and its been well worth the wait so far :D
This morning I finished Merry Christmas, Alex Cross - James Patterson. Now I am going to read Witchy, Witchy - Penelope King.
Based on some of comments on Goodreads, I think Kiss the Girls is going to be my next read. Can anyone tell me if it's the first in the series? I suppose I should start at the beginning.
Last night I finished Mistletoe And Magic - Gina Ardito. I started A Cleansing of Souls - Stuart Ayris last night.
I've finished A Cleansing of Souls - Stuart Ayris. Now going back to Private Games - James Patterson.

Here are all the separate series by James Patterson. Clicking on each one will get you its chronological list.

Not sure about my next read yet."
I wouldn't have pegged you as a Jodi Picoult reader. Perhaps that's why you didn't like it....

Started reading Cramp Slash & Burn: When Punk and Glam Were Twins If you like 80s glam and punk, there's an online version available (free though the end of the month) here: http://scarpati.com/CSB411/index.html
A friend gave me Evolving in Monkey Town: How a Girl Who Knew All the Answers Learned to Ask the Questions yesterday...I'm not good at assigned reading, but it's short-ish so I'll give it a go.
It's also paperback, so hopefully I don't have to buy him a new one to replace this one that I will inevitably trash.

I'm just not good at it. They get tumbled around in my bags and I always break the spine...
I'm reading
Following Atticus: Forty-Eight High Peaks, One Little Dog, and an Extraordinary Friendship~~Tom RyanI'm about 3/4 done. It's getting repetitive. The book should have been cut by 50-75 pages.
Amelia wrote: "I'm just not good at it. They get tumbled around in my bags and I always break the spine..."Adds character.
I loved reading "The Help" loved every word of it, anyone knows a book resembles the story line and geographical setting of that book?
De donkere kamer van Damokles (The darkroom of Damocles). I got two free copies of this so I have no excuse not to read it. So far it's promising.
I'm listening to 1Q84 and finding it very enjoyable but completely bonkers. Every chapter is filled with ruminations on boobs, their shapes and sizes. Has anyone here read it? Any explanation for the strange breast fixation?
