Elizabeth | 4 comments her magic wasn't always successful. I read this to my son 20 years ago and it wasn't a new book then. I would say it's MG, it's a novel not a picture book. Fantasy genre and printed on paper (all books were back then). We borrowed it from the library and we both enjoyed it. I've read so many books when he asked me the name of this one I just couldn't come up with it.
I thought it was by Patricia Wrede but going over her bibliography, I don't see it.

Mir | 802 comments That sounds like the witch who is the secondary character in Dealing with Dragons. I think her name was something like Morwen.

That's what I thought of when I saw the thread title.

Gen Giggles | 18 comments Morwen has her own book in the series. There are four books total.

Teresa Rohn-penn | 9 comments sounds like a book Ruth Chew would have written. I adored her books.

Elizabeth | 4 comments You are right! It's the 3rd book in the series, 'Calling on Dragons'. I am so delighted to have found this! You are the best! How do I move this topic to the 'Solved' list? I picked up the book at the library last night.

Glad you found your book!

I moved your request to the "Children's/YA-SOLVED" folder by clicking the "Edit" link at the top beside the title of this thread. The book is shelved as Calling on Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede.
