Carren Kay | 953 comments Sorry for the delay, getting ready for Turkey day.
Okay -- this is a threefer question
What did the reverend's housekeeper wear for the annual church fair, when she dressed as the fortune teller? Describe it a little. And lastly, what other book was this object mentioned in?

message 364: by Jen (at last!) (last edited Nov 22, 2011 05:39PM) (new)

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 1052 comments Wow, Carren, that is super hard. I can't recall that...at all! LOL

message 365: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments Don't know what made me think of this, but there it was. Not really that tough, though. Just have to do a little research.
Do you need a hint?

message 366: by Jen (at last!) (new)

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 1052 comments Wait...so we can look stuff up? I thought we were supposed to use our recall only. LOL If I can look it up I'll find it!

message 367: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments I always thought we could look stuff up. I mean, I did.

message 368: by Jen (at last!) (new)

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 1052 comments I might not have read the rules if there were any...I tend to do that.

Whee! Permission from Wendy! LOL I'm on it!

Don't knock yourself, Carren, it's awesome! I'm having to recall and research. :)

A turban with a peacock feather and "robes of oriental splendor(the vicar's robe)?

An Echo in the Bone has a Turkish turban mentioned...

message 372: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments You got the item and the description. It was the Vicar's robe, but not mentioned in Echo. In another book.

message 373: by Gwennie, biblioholic (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments i think it was originally mentioned in Outlander.

But in Echo Roger and Bree are talking about her costume and he mentions it again. Was that it Jen?

message 374: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments It was mentioned in Outlander, yes, but I'm thinking of another book.

message 375: by Jen (at last!) (new)

I dinna ken! I was thinking about the turban. I'm wracking my brain about the robes mentioned elsewhere!

message 376: by Mary G. (new)

Mary G. (nonometoo) | 319 comments It was Dragonfly In Amber, wasn't it?

message 377: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments Ding! Ding! Ding! You are correct! Roger was going through the Reverend's closet and found the robe, deciding he wouldn't give that away.

Okay Mary G, your turn.

message 378: by Jen (at last!) (new)

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 1052 comments Good job, Mary G! :)

message 379: by Mary G. (new)

Mary G. (nonometoo) | 319 comments What prompted Brianna to go to Jamaica?

message 380: by Carol L (new)

Carol L | 218 comments Boy, I just re-read them all and don't remember Bree going to Jamaica AT ALL. Must be old age.......

message 381: by Jen (at last!) (new)

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 1052 comments All I remember is the voodoo bonfire and Bree's voice coming out from Margaret Campbell's mouth. :)

message 382: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments I think she might of seen her father's name in historical records.Probably when he took over the ship and made himself captain. Just a guess.

message 383: by Mary G. (new)

Mary G. (nonometoo) | 319 comments Good ideas, but, not the right answer. Clue?

message 384: by Jen (at last!) (new)

message 385: by Mary G. (new)

message 386: by Jen (at last!) (last edited Nov 26, 2011 08:00AM) (new)

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 1052 comments Is it Joe Abernathy? When Bree was at his house watching the lunar landing? They had a conversation.

message 387: by Carol L (new)

Carol L | 218 comments Jen, Sinatra Fan, that is all I rememeber of Bree in Jamaica, too. She wasn't "really" there. Very curious as to the answer.

message 388: by Mary G. (new)

Mary G. (nonometoo) | 319 comments Remember after Roger finds Bree, they go to the shed and have their night together, while they are talking she tells him what prompted her to go to Jamaica and start looking there for clues. Sorry about the long sentence.

message 389: by Carol L (new)

Carol L | 218 comments I will have to refer back. thanks Mary G.

message 390: by Jen (at last!) (last edited Nov 26, 2011 08:54PM) (new)

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 1052 comments Wait, Mary G, are you sure you mean Jamaica and not the Colonies?

I know she was prompted to go to the Colonies b/c she'd found the death notice, but I can't for the life of me recall her going to Jamaica. :/

I can remember that's why she gets mad at Roger b/c he knew of the death notice and didn't tell her...

message 391: by [deleted user] (new)

Didn't Bree find the papers stating that Clair bought a slave and that is why she went to Jamaica.

message 392: by Mary G. (new)

Mary G. (nonometoo) | 319 comments Bree found the papers about the slave in Jamaica. Roger had his feelings hurt because she had gone to Jamaica instead of Scotland that Spring Break. But, something happened to encourage Bree to go to Jamaica in the first place.

message 393: by Leah (new)

Leah (leah_moss) | 91 comments While in Boston Bree had had a dream of J & C "somewhere tropical" with the crocodile...and Jamie had looked right at her. She and Roger had not been able to find their names on passenger rolls from Scotland to America so she went to Jamaica on a hunch to check passenger & cargo ship rolls and found that Jamie had been Captain of the Artemis...that Claire had bought a slave...and that led her to find the article regarding her parents death...and then she went through the stones.

message 394: by Mishelle (new)

Mishelle LaBrash (mishalabrash) | 397 comments Thats right... thats how she ended up needing to take the ship back to Scotland....and ended up on psycho, should be shot in the head... twice's ship.

message 395: by Mishelle (new)

Mishelle LaBrash (mishalabrash) | 397 comments Its so weird though, cause I have very little memory of this at all...
