Hey Theo,
so I listened to
and didn't enjoy it that much. I am a person who chooses books by covers, and they got me again, LOL!
Too much sex and a bit too raunchy for my delicate senses (LMAO). I won't be following this series but I am glad I tried it as I have been eying that author for a while.
Thanks!

I was scandalized! you know how innocent my mind is. I found myself saying "Oh lawd!" or "Oh My!" on numerous occasions.

Thanks for the great picks Clare!!
Rock Addiction — ★★★★★ 5/8
This has been on my radar for some time and I'm sorry I waited to read this one! This was a fun, hot, wild ride! A one-night stand for one...the beginning of forever for the other. I'm a huge fan of Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter and Psy-Changeling series'. This was the complete opposite of those, but no less at all! I don't know how long this series will go, but I look forward to seeing where it will go!
Total Surrender — ★★★★★ 5/2
I...LOVE...THIS...SERIES!!! If this is the last book in this series, I'll be sad, but it was a satisfying end. Each brother has had a unique story...getting to know each one has been awesome! I've been on pins and needles waiting for this book to come out and was not disappointed! Seeing Jory as an adult was almost surreal...kind of like acknowledging my kid brother (8 years younger) is old enough to drink. For the most part, Jory has been seen in flashbacks as a child and his upbringing truly changed him...hardened him. Piper was a fun addition to this motley crew! At first she kind of got on my nerves, but I guess if you grow up without knowing your dad, you'll take whatever you can get when you meet him. Thankfully, she sees the "light" and comes to trust Jory. I'd love to see these brothers again, but am OK if this is it!

Both were interesting reads, I enjoyed

Thank you for the picks!!

Hopefully I will also be able to finish my other choice sometime this month :)..."
Glad you enjoyed it Ashley!!

I choose these two for you. I'm curious about the Ron Perlman one.

Paris, I just finished Easy Street: The Hard Way and really enjoyed it...I'm such a Ron Perlman fan, so I was happy to get to this autobiography! Thanks!

WHAT SALLY FORGOT WAS SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE READING WHAT ALICE FORGOT AND THE BOOK THIEF DDDDDUUUHHHHHHHHHH!

Tears of the Giraffe by Alexander McCall Smith

and
The Inn at Eagle Point by Sherryl Woods

These were both really good books. Thanks Amber for such great choices!

Here are my picks for you:

Thanks for the picks. Sadly there won't be much time to read the first book, but Ive read

Happy reading!"
Karina - I have finished both of these and enjoyed both very much! Thanks for the extra push to get them off my TBR :-D

The One and Only IvanThe Book ThiefWater for Elephants"
Sally I'm choosing

So I finished Island of Wings today. I really had a time with this one, which is weird because the prose was lovely. I guess I just had a difficult time with the pompous, increasingly self-righteous Reverend Mackenzie and his lack of compassion for the islanders and his own wife. Elizabeth Mackenzie was a wonderful character, but the mess her husband made of the island really turned me off. Sad, because I really like the way this author writes.
I've started my second book and already like it much better. Hopefully, I can get it finished before the weekend rolls around.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I've only read one of my books, but I will try to get the final book done in the next couple of days!

I finished this one in a little over a day - granted it was a day off. I enjoyed it as we saw and found out more about Archeron and Artemis. I'm looking forward to his book - I'm going to try to fit it in next month

This was a good book. The chapters read like short stories in their own right. It's also set in a very interesting period of Northern Ireland's history, right before the violent Troubles of the 1960s and 70s. The family situation it depicts is at times weirdly humorous at first, but ultimately the dark secrets they harbor prove devastating to the narrator and his parents. It was really engrossing.

I pick for you

Thanks Dora! I read & loved both of my picks for this month! Kristin Hannah is always good for an emotional ride. Love her! Blackout was a slow start for me because I had to remember what happened in the first book, but once I got into it, I just could not put it down. Thank you!

Sorry Lou at least it was one that you could finish. It's really bad when you wish one of the leads was better.
