Sarah wrote: "Yes ☺ As we're counting pages instead of points, it means we can be exact about how much of the book you've read in May ☺"Yay! I love this! I have a couple books that I've been meaning to pick back up. :)
Sarah wrote: "I started reading The Host in January, and I still haven't finished it!"I did something similar to that with A Game of Thrones when I started it last year! I read a few pages and stopped because of school and never got around to picking it back up.
Have you read The Host before Sarah? :)
Yes, 4 times I think ☺ I watched the film and thought it was nowhere near as good as the book so I had to read the book again ☺
I loved The Host! I think I might give it a reread soon! I liked the film but definitely not as much as the book!
Are we on about The Host by Stephenie Meyer? Its on my tbr list and I haven't even contemplated trying to tackle it yet haha :)
I'll have to read it soon! Unfortunately I have 35 books planned for May because I want to complete the bookish blocks challenge haha so I don't really have time to read it. Ive been fairly stupid though as all of the books I plan on reading are between 300 and 500 apart from the quickie square haha. Oh well hopefully I can fit it in next month. Or at the end of this one? Probably not haha :)
Oh my Lordy! I wish I could read that many a month, but I only end up get to around 5 or 6. I'm just a really really slow reader. This month I've really been slacking! And hey at least you'll get lots of points :)
True! I don't think ill do them all but that's what I want to try and do normally I read between 20 and 30 so ill just have to push through:)
Hello Sarah!Beini and I planned to buddy read
on May 4, do we need to make separate thread or use Guided Buddy Read thread instead? Also, I confirmed my participation but there's no check on my name that I confirmed. :) tyvm
Yes it would as it is a page count challenge and not determined on starting a book in the specific month.

It seems to be a love-it or hate-it kind of book ☺

You can use the GBR thread. It doesn't matter that you'll be early ☺

Yes ☺ You just need to make a note of what page you're on, and then only claim the pages that you have read in May ☺

Apparently the word count for Diary of a wimpy kid is only 19,784 words. That works out to roughly 80 pages ☺

Thank you Sarah! :D
Hi Sarah,I've got about 24% of Emma left. How many pages would that be? Am I allowed to continue my buddy read thread or does it not count?
at a quick glace there's a copy that has 622 pages, so 24% of that would be about 150 pages. You can have a half-point for the buddy read ☺
Ok thanks!! I prefer whole numbers so I'll scrap the buddy read (I was talking to myself on the board anyway :P)
I am 12% through this
will I be able used the the rest of the pages and if so how many pages is that? Will I still be able to use the buddy read?
Sarah wrote: "254 pages, and a half-point for the buddy read ☺"Okay thanks :), if I used another buddy read from last month would that be a half-point too or can't I used that?
It depends whether you've already started the book or not. if you've started the book it will be a half-point, if you waited and started the book in May then it's a whole point ☺
Sarah wrote: "It depends whether you've already started the book or not. if you've started the book it will be a half-point, if you waited and started the book in May then it's a whole point ☺"Oh I haven't started the book yet behind on some buddies and trying to catch up before I start others one.
Basically you read and review your books as you would normally, then post your reviews and the number of pages in each book on the team review thread. I'll then keep a list of team scores and individual scores, and at the end we'll see who wins ☺

So say I started a book yesterday and finished it tomorrow, how do i count that (with the page value and everything)?
Sarah, I started a book yesterday but I didn't post it anyways it's as I started it today and finish today, but honestly I only read like 100 pages this morning, so when I post I just say I only read 100 pages?
I have a review copy of this book
is okay if I used this exact copy or do you want me to split of the books?
Katie wrote: "what's the book we're reading?"Um I didn't know we had a buddy read together here are all my buddies this

You can do it whichever way you want. if the individual books come to more pages you can do it that way if you want. it's up to you ☺
