Thank you! I didn't realize I got 2 tickets for that. I don't usually read books quite so large!

Option 2: Author whose name contains all the letters of MURALS
Riley Sager does not meet this requirement. (Maybe you were looking for the initials in the word).

I didn't see anywhere that it said I had to reference my post in the instructions. I did post in the group discussion - post #10 - and I have reposted this task with a link to my comment.

I appreciate that. It didn't jump out at me when I looked the first time, because I was looking for a post with your Readerboard name, and it never registered with me without.

Post 1387 was disallowed in message 107 above. Do I still need to "unclaim" the post even though it had an error? Sorry, I know it must be SO much work to keep track of all this!

ETA - I think I know the answer to my question. I should have indicated it was a "repost" for that particular book.

Oops, I didn't catch that. I'll go in and give you credit, just keep in mind if it comes up again that it helps if you mention it's a repost.

15.3 requires either ONE book set in the UK and the numbers, or two different books. You chose option 1, but your book is set in Ohio.
Option 1
Book 1
Read a book with a first published year that includes at least 2 unique numbers from this list: 1,2,3,5,7
and
Book 2
Read a book set in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland)

I Googled 'books with lighted candles' and that one came up. It also told me there were cupcakes. What I thought were Xmas ornaments (for a birthday!), I eventually realised were cupcakes with the candles on top but only after reading the book which mentioned them. So I understand your scepticism. Thanks for accepting.

Hmmmm, no problem on the task (I substituted another book), but just out of curiosity, is there any recourse for a book a like this that also has the MPG 'Adult' along with MG/Childrens? It never even occurred to me that people might shelve this as a kids book; if anything I'd call it philosophy - not that things like Le Petit Prince and The Phantom Tollbooth can't be both. From what I'm reading in the 'not really kids' thread, having the Adult MPG doesn't actually qualify it as exception. It has no entries in either of the AR bookfinder websites, but again I think that doesn't necessarily qualify it as not a kids book?

Without AR entries I guess it's stuck as my book for task 5.10, haha.

Please check your totals. As of the last Readerboard update (2000), we were off by 10. Now we are off by 20. I show all 5 pts tasks completed except for 5.3, and all 10 point tasks except for 10.3 & 10.5. As far as I can tell, all of the initial tasks you needed to repost were done. The only thing I can think of is maybe when you did that you added something twice? To recap, as of 2004, I show your total to be 810, you show 830. Also your IAFs are off by 1 - you show 10, I show 9.
