This book kind of affirms the role that women are more than that and one cat eat to please themselves and maintain their figure as to how it makes oneself happy. I resonated with this and made me feel seen when often times because of beauty standard other are regarded as more beautiful or desirable

How it fits: what happened to Victoria and Marcus was tragic and took Victoria, now Lana, into years of desperation, depression and resignation. Along the way she found the strength to rebuild, work on herself, learn the things she needed to get her peace. While the way she gets her peace is not inspirational, the fact that she did not only survive the horrific things she went through but she took the time to build, learn and come back stronger is. .

The hardcover version I have seen doesn't have color themed titles for each chapter, but I think it used different colored fonts, page edging. I don't own it, but I remember almost buying it because it was such a unique book.
