Since Jim Steinmeyer is from the US, My Girls: A Lifetime with Carrie and Debbie by Todd Fisher will be my 3rd book, published in 2018
Since Blair Bigham, author of Death Interrupted: How Modern Medicine Is Complicating the Way We Die is from Canada, my choice for Prompt #3 is One Golden Summer which takes place in Barry's Bay, Ontario.
Saratoga Schaefer, who wrote Serial Killer Support Group, is from the United States, so my next book will be Immaculate Conception, which is set in the U.S. This one was kinda a gimme, I admit.
For book 2, I read Murder in the Family by Cara Hunter (British), and for book three I'm reading Penance by Eliza Clark. Set in England as well. I'm currently obsessed with any fictional true crime reads, so this was perfect. Probably ditching the mysteries for a while now after this. I'm missing my character-driven reads.
Previous Book: The Beast Takes a Bride by Julie Anne Long - who is from the US. This Prompt: Good Pucking Luck: Alternate Cover by Riley Hart which is m/m hockey romance set in the US.
My second book was Future Home of the Living God by Louise Erdrich, who is from the USA. This makes my 3rd book fairly easy. I chose A Place for Us
Previous Book: When I Fell From the Sky - Juliane Koepcke (Peru), Ross Benjamin (USA)Current Book: Don't Let Me Go - Kevin Christopher Snipes
Country Used: USA
Frances Ryan rhe author of Who Wants Normal?: The Disabled Girls’ Guide to Life is from England, so my next book is Under Violent Skies by Judi Daykin set in Norfolk, England. Loving it so far!
The author of my previous book is from the U.S., so I'm going to give Follow the Crow by B.B. Griffith a try.
I read Anita De Monte Laughs Last, which takes place in the US. The author for my Prompt 2 book was from the US.
My last book was The Lonely Hearts Book Club by Lucy Gilmore, so for this one I read A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher, 3 Stars. Country in common is the US.
My second book was The World Between Two Covers. Since the author is from England, I chose Once upon a Tome which is set in London, for my next book. So far, I seem to be choosing all nonfiction.
For prompt 2, I read Long Island by Colm Tóibín, who is from Ireland. For prompt 3, I read The Women Behind the Door by Roddy Doyle, which is set in Dublin, Ireland.
For prompt 2, I read Insectopolis: A Natural History by Peter Kuper (6/17/25). Peter Kuper is from the USA. For prompt 3, I read Mystery at the Biltmore: The Vanderhoff Heist by Colleen Nelson (6/20/25) which is set in New York City.
3rd book, needed an author from Oregon since that is where Cat WintersCat Winters is from and still resides, so I found Brian DoyleBrian Doyle
, and chose his book Mink RiverMink River to read, finishing that on 07.19.252nd book, with a shared word (Raven) was The Raven's Tale
1st book was
picked another book from same author - I'm trying to complete this challenge using my TBR shelf - hopefully I can.Her Broken Bones
3/21
Kind of a snooze of a country pick, but I read a V.E. Schwab book. She is from the U.S. so I decided to read Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls.

3) Set in the country where the previous author is from: This book must be set in the country where the previous author (the book you chose for prompt 2) is from. This may be the country where they currently reside, the country of birth, or part of their ethnic identity. The book may be set in any region or part of that country and may be fully or only partially set in that country.
Sample Challenge: Since I chose a book by Agatha Christie for my second prompt, I’m now looking for a book set in England (where Agatha Christie is from.) For this third prompt, I’ll choose Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë.
