FlibBityFLooB Hey,

So, I just read The Duke And I in the Bridgertons series and really enjoyed it. I think I liked how the brothers were so protective over their little sister in the book, yet scared to death of the mother ;)

Other than reading the rest of the books in the series (which I am already likely to do), do you have any good recommendations for books that are similar?

Thanks in advance :)

Dalene | 82 comments I also just recently got into this series and my first for Julia Quinn. Since starting this Julia Quinn series, I have read Lisa Kleypas Wallflower series and enjoyed them as well. If you want to go contemporary, Susan Elizabeth Phillips is enjoyable as well.

So, I might be coming from left field here, but I was thinking you might like books where the characters are related, like in a big family type of set up.

Here are a few that comes to mind:

Christina Dodd's Darkness Chosen series (Genre: paranormal romance). Includes 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Johanna Lindsey's Malory Family series (Genre: historical romance) Includes nieces, uncles, brothers, etc)

BJ Rose (bjrose) | 4413 comments Here are some more 'family' series, some great, some just ok:

Lorraine Heath has a different take on family with her 'Scoundrels of St. James' series - they grew up together on the streets of London

Julie Garwood did the same with her Claybourne family, starting with 'For the Roses' - the family is a quartet of young street boys who find a baby girl in the trash and decide to raise her.

There's Mary Balogh's Bedwyn family in the 'Slightly' series,
Jillian Hunter has the Boscastles,
Suzanne Enoch has the Griffin family series (these were just 'ok' for me)
and Catherine Coulter has the Sherbrooke family series - some good, some awful.

For contemporary paranormal, there's Christine Feehan's Drake Sisters

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 1888 comments Another great family series that has a large group of brothers who are protective of their only little sister is the Knight Miscellany series by Gaelen Foley. It begins with The Duke. I haven't read Julia Quinn yet, but from what I understand her books tend to be more light and humorous. The Knight Miscellany is more on the angsty, serious side, but an excellent series IMHO that I highly recommend. I've read all but the last book and rated every one of them 4-5 stars.

FlibBityFLooB Thanks for the suggestions, ladies. I checked out some from the library. We'll see how they are!

Checked out a wallflower book from the library last night and I am *loving* it. Thanks for the recommendation :)

Mel W (melw) | 981 comments You might also like Lisa Kleypas' The Hathaways series which starts with Mine Till Midnight or Stephanie Laurens' Cynster series starting with Devil's Bride.

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) To add to BJ's recommendation of Julie Garwood's Clayborne Brides series, the books are in order:
For the Roses
One Pink Rose
One White Rose
One Red Rose
Come the Spring

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I really loved Cindy Gerard's Bodyguards series. It is a family run operation, 4 brothers and a sister who of course, they always try to protect. The boys were all ex military who end up working for their father's body guard service. Here is the reading order:

1. To the Edge
2. To the Limit
3. To the Brink
4. Over the Line
5. Under the Wire
6. Into the Dark

FlibBityFLooB I added To the Edge to my to-be-read list... Looks interesting, thanks :)

I love a good military/alpha-male/cop/body guard in my book *impish grin*
