Excellent psychological thriller. The ending was a shocker, although worth it. Probably the darkest of the books I’ve read by her.

Donne | 184 comments I LOVE BUNNY MCGARRY!!! If you don't find Bunny and his motley crew of friends and misfits hilarious, then you are probably having a really bad day or you simply have no sense of humor. I dare you not to laugh while reading this book.

This is my review of the new audiobook, currently available on Netgalley.

The story is about the Compson family of Mississippi, a once wealthy and respected family whose fortunes declined over the generations.

1898. London's greatest con-woman sets off on her richest con. I loved the intricate plot and the fascinating look at 19th century London. Many similarities to Hay's previous "The Housekeepers." I loved the book, the plot, the characters, everything. 5 stars.

Finished The Sister of Cain -- really good!! A woman goes to her husband's family's home while he is away for the war and pretty shortly discovers that his sisters live a pretty bizarre and dysfunctional life. While she's there someone is murdered, and it's awfully convenient that the new person in the house is also the one they blame. Solidly good mystery with lots of family secrets spilling out. When I have my brain back I'm going to be posting about it.
