The Woman in Suite 11 and Witchcraft for Wayward Girls
I'm cautiously optimistic about Sunrise on the Reaping. I hated Mockingjay, but loved The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Oooh! Now that I know she's got a new one coming, I'm planning to read it too!!!

I'm excited about that one! But I'm going to use it for "character with chronic pain" instead

!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was curious about Holy Terrors (since I'm also excited for Heavenly Tyrant!) and omg I didn't realize there was already a release date (and title/cover??? I missed so much!) for the next Little Thieves book!!! I love that series SO MUCH, very pumped for that one. Immediate prompt fill lol.

I'm working in a whole series re-read. Little Thieves for a book you want to read based on the last sentence, and Painted Devils for a book about a cult.
Have you been reading the short stories? Margaret Owen has been running a pre-order campaign on Tumblr and publishing short stories set between books 2 and 3 on AO3. There's also a Goodreads entry for it: The Fallow Year.
Tumblr post: https://www.tumblr.com/what-eats-owls...

Honestly, I might do a series re-read too - it's been a while since I read them and I'm always happy to read them again 😂 I've seen the short stories since I follow Margaret Owen on tumblr, but haven't had time to take a look - maybe I'll just work everything into my reading plan for next year.

This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light

T. Kingfisher also has a new one coming out, Hemlock & Silver.

It's back to the 90s for me. I pre-ordered this book in November and it's being released in April:

Morphenomenal: How the Power Rangers Conquered the World
I was 4 when Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was on so I'm part of the OG fans. When I got older I got a Tommy Oliver/White Ranger/Jason David Frank tattoo because of how much it meant to me.
I've met several of the Ranger actors over the years, the best being the late Jason David Frank. My mom made me a Power Rangers costume for Halloween when I was about 7 or 8.
I could go on and fangirl about how much I love it. So when I discovered this book it was an absolute must to preorder it right then and there! I don't know what it has, but I don't care. All I know is that it's a Power Rangers book so I gotta read/have it.
*****
There's a lot of books I'm looking forward to so far but I don't think any can top the Power Rangers for me.
Probably everyone saw the GR article, but just in case you missed it, and you need more inspiration for this category, take a look:

GR says it is expected to be published in February but Amazon says July. Definitely will fit this category for me!

looks like Feb for Britain, July for USA. I've never read a book by her before - I guess you recommend it?

I do enjoy her writing. This will be a new series.

*Elphie: A Wicked Childhood by Gregory Maguire

But, I won a ARC for a book coming in February 2025 and after reading the preview I am so excited to read this book:
*The Wildest Things by Andrea Hannah

HAPPY READING!!

I have several books that are coming in 2025 that I can't wait to read:
*Elphie: A Wicked Childhood by Gregory Maguire
He has a new book based on her childhood coming out?! While I didn't care for the movie, I am giving the novel version a chance so we'll see. That's pretty cool though that he's releasing that book.

Another new book is Close Your Eyes and Count to 10 by Lisa Unger

Out of all the new releases this year that I pre-ordered, this is my number 1 of 2025 so I'm really hoping it lives up to the hype that I've created for in my head.

I just picked this title up from the library! I'm looking forward to starting it this week.

A good read as usual from Taylor Jenkins Reid - the MC was a bit too wonderful, but the space scenes were excellent. The NASA background was well done too.

I loved this book! I hope you enjoy/ find it rewarding.

This one made me laugh, because ... I'm sorry, am I supposed to NOT be highly anticipating some of the new books?? I'm always excited about all the books!!!
I ..."
I'm glad I found this thread because I've postponed this prompt due to the frustration of interpreting it. I agree - which book wouldn't I look forward to? And yes, published 2025 or just read 2025? I'm relieved now, thank you!

I think their INTENT here was to read a book published in 2025, but the way it's worded, it could include any book you excitedly plan to read in 2025.
What are YOU most excited about??
