I have no idea where this series will begin - ie what book! This is a long series written by James Patterson starting with the book Along Came a Spider way back in 1992. Of course that book was made into a movie with Morgan Freeman.

Dr. Alex Cross is a specialist in forensic psychology, originally working for the Washington DC police department and later as an FBI senior agent.
Each book in the series is a whole story with a beginning and an ending, however there are references to prior stories in the series. So far Patterson has 33 books based on this character - so where the series will start is anyone's guess. Maybe with the 2006 book Cross/Alex Cross ???

What I do know...This series will be on Prime starting November 14, 2024. It has been picked up for two years. It appears there is 8 episodes the first year, all available to watch on the 14th, with an additional 3 in production already for season two.

Not much else I can tell you other than I think it previewed on Nov 13th instead of the 14th. Is on Prime - first season - ready to binge all episodes.

And I did binge them. Thought overall it was a pretty good series. Since I did not read this series of books I have no idea where this TV series fell in the list of books. And not sure they plan to go in chronological order of the books written, but think this may be a long term series.

I know season two is either in the can or being worked on right now. No idea when it will come out tho.

Took me a minute to recognize Ryan Eggold in this series, I loved the series New Amsterdam - which he starred in. Think he made a great 'bad guy'. However I did not realize that he was as young a he is - jsut turning 40. I would have said mid 40's at least.
