Because surely I would’ve known? I lived with them!

I'm sure there's been wrong done on both sides, but... well, the alphabetical heroes have caused quite a lot of heartache.
Selah wrote: "I’m joining w and Bella’s side our family twisted and manipulated us"Yes! Welcome, Selah.
The M wrote: "😮 I should write a book based on all this!!!"I was literally thinking that. It could be really interesting.
*taking notes for my future self to write a novel* I've gotta at least use my own contributions, yk?
Cause she's not confused, not dead, not leaving, not a witch, not manipulated and not a W. Thats my kind of girl.An she may read my book one day ;)
All very true. I’m very reliable 😉I’ll read your book when I finish The Stormlight Archive I promise 😉
Course, I would like you all to read it, and leave glowing comments, but truth is...I wont be upset if you dont. If its not your thing, that is okay.
If I don’t like it, I’ll be respectful about it. I absolutely HATE bad ratings where people are mean and whiny 🙄
Selah wrote: "You guys can be co writers"That would be great. But how do you co-write with someone you don't know irl?
We could create a group just to post this story on, and invite you all lol.
The M wrote: "If you end up writing it, at least say me, Selah, and The W contributed to it 🤣"Tbh, I have way too much to write anyway. Just make sure if you write it, you say I contributed.
Yeah it wouldn’t work since we don’t actually know each other. Well, whoever writes should at least say who participated in the creation of the book 🤷🏼♀️
Co-writing does not work all that well even if you do know them. Writing is mostly a solitary effort IMO.
Yeah unless you knew someone that had a personality exactly like yours, co-writing wouldn’t go very well I imagine🤣. People are going to have their own preferences and ideas for things and it could lead to fights…🤣
I’ve tried co-writing. With two different friends. Both times ending up wishing I hadn’t because I’m a pretty opinionated person 😂 it went well, I just had to compromise on ideas and ended up wishing that I had been writing by myself. But then there are also a few benefits, like: you can get someone else’s input and creative ideas. 🤷🏻♀️
Also, I’m with the M.
Magic in fantasy books is never on the good side (at least that I’ve read).
Wait, magic corrupted you, Bella! It’s turned you into an evil monster that won’t see the truth.
Selah, trust me, the superheroes might be bad but magic is NEVER a good thing. *shakes head solemnly*

Does HP not count as using magic for good?I might add the belgaraid as another where magic is more of a good guy tool.
And, of course, Gandalf is on the good side.
I think you are right in that magic more lends itself to abuse. In my own stories, magic is more a corrupting force. One of the big questions of humanity is ‘who is God?’ Is there a god above, or am I my own God. Magic gives one greater ability and leads to belief that God is not needed, thus i am my own God. So, corruption.
I haven’t read HP and that is one reason. My parents don’t like the series because it portrays magic as a good thing. I also haven’t read LOTR yet so I can’t give any input on that.
And yes, I agree with that about being our own gods. That will always lead to corruption if we believe we are our own God’s. I think, where I’m ok with magic is when it’s a supernatural ability given by a higher power. Several examples of that are the Shadowcast Trilogy, the Mark of the Raven Trilogy, and I believe even Narnia has that. When it’s given by a higher power it’s more of a supernatural gift than just “magic”.
That’s just my conservative homeschooler perspective on the matter. lol.
