Alright, I think we need to go over this again.He was banished by his own mother simply because he was born with magic. Then, just when he was starting to find a new family (yk, found family?), the so-called superheroes attacked them, killing them all. When they tried to kill him too, he fought back, and killed them in the process, but it was a matter of self-defense. And he's only trying to take the throne to end the persecution of witches.
(She banished him because the magic witches have corrupts them!!! The witches attacked us first so for years we’ve been striking back at them because of their evil, destructive ways!!!)

Magic is something we're born with. We can't help that. But we can decide to use it for good or evil. having magic doesn't make you inherently evil, and it's doing wrong that corrupts people, not magic.
