FALL 2024 READING CHALLENGE
I’m excited and loving this challenge, you did it again Rachel!!! I’m going to age myself, but when I grew up I would get excited to circle everything I wanted in the Sears or JC Penny Christmas catalog, that’s how I feel when the new challenges come out. I have a notebook and write down each challenge and then go through my physical books and ebooks and the Libby app and find which ones I want to read and make a stack.

Catalogs were great. Reminds me of my younger days. Shopping online isn’t the same.

I had Defending Jacob in my stack of books for the summer challenge the read a book you’ve been meaning to read. A Monster Calls is another one I was going to read for a past challenge also. Awesome choices!! Thank you!!

Thank you Dustin! I’ve been eyeing that book the past few years and have yet to read it. Think I’ll add that also! I have 15 physical books stacked on my coffee table and 3 ebooks that will work for this challenge. Now to hopefully finish the books I’m currently reading and my book club selection then I’ll start chipping away. I love this group and my wonderful book family!!!

I am currently reading Brooklyn by Colm Toibin, with an Irish setting this book was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize (task #5). I will be rewatching the film soon.

I will probably watch the film after I read the book. I've enjoyed most of the Cormac McCarthy books I've read, so I hope I'll like No Country for Old Men.
I am also considering Blood Meridian, or, the Evening Redness in the West. I've been wanting to read that McCarthy title for some time and with the wordy subtitle, it works for S-L-O-T-H.

Rachel I really enjoyed that book. I should do a reread.
I read The Broken Girls which works for S-L-O-T-H. Good book. I like Simone St.James.

I've read Replay by Ken Grimwood and own a copy. It is pretty good and I recommend this choice.

I loved that one on audio-she has such an incredible voice and she reads it with so much emotion.

Hey Everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to join you all. My husband’s health is stable so I have more time for the things I enjoy. My reading life has really suffered. I want to join the fall challenge but I can’t find where I enter my goal and the challenge name on the iPad version of GR. Can anyone give me some help? I know it’s real simple but brain is fried after the last few months. Thank you.
Grateful that your husband’s health is stable, I’ve been thinking about you and have missed you!! I wish I could help with the iPad issue, I can’t figure it out on my phone, technology and I aren’t the best of friends.

Did you try clicking on the title of the challenge-(fall 2024 reading challenge)-it should take you to the page and let you create a shelf. I use an iPad too. Let me know if it works. :)
I’m not sure if this matters but I always search for goodreads on google and then click on the website to access the goodreads page versus using the goodreads app. Hope this helps-I’m not great with technology either.
