Lindsay Adolf Hitler was a moron. You people keep on putting words into my mouth!! I didn't say I was better than you!! I just said that the best people are usually religious!!!!

message 153: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay It's okay if you're not super religious. One of my best friends isn't all that religious, either, and she's awesome!!! She does believe in God, but she doesn't go to church much or anything.

There are some fabulous people who are religious that I know, some other fabulous people are NOT religious, it doesn't come down to that.

Frankly, to me, as long as you are respectful to other people who have a different opinion then you, I have no problem with religion. I am just not a religious person. I am very spiritual though.

message 162: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay I don't mean to be rude, so don't mind me asking, but... how are you spiritual if you're not religious? (Is that a stupid question?)

message 163: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Hahha, it's not a rude question. I believe in spirits and morals and so and so and so forth.

message 164: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Oh, I see.

message 165: by Lisa (new)

Lisa | 55 comments I appreciate the civil debate on this one. Still think I'm going to sit it out though (we Buddhists tend to do that :-).

message 166: by [deleted user] (new)

lol well i think most of us agree that people should be gay if they want to and other people strait if they want to.

message 167: by [deleted user] (new)

deliabookworm | 20 comments I am new to this group, but I loved the twist of Fee and Pippa being in love. I think Libba Bray was brave to put that in. Felicity was always one of my favorite characters and her orientation made me love her even more.
I personally am an atheist, but I think everyone has a right to believe what they want and not be ridiculed for it. It's a basic human right, to believe what you want.
I was furious when the right for gays and lesbians to marry in California was taken away. Many of these couples had been living together their entire lives, and it was such a great thing for them to able to marry. But then to take that right away from them I feel is horrible.

message 189: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Well you don't have to feel sorry for them anymore. They can all be married once more! It's as if that vote didn't even happen. And I'm surprised I'm the only christian here--I thought most people were christian, or at least believe in God and Jesus and stuff.

message 190: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay I just thought that there was a higher percentage of people who believed in God then there were who didn't. I heard that somewhere... but here it seems that most people are agnostic.

Um. I believe in God...

message 192: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay That's great! Most people here just don't...

Allie (pearlrose95) | 3724 comments Mod
Yeah. But it's what they believe, I'm not gonna try to change it.

message 194: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay I'm not really trying to, I'm just making an obsevation.

Delia, welcome to the group! I hope you like it here. Why did her orientation make you love her more? I loved Libba from that too, I was glad she stayed true to her books. I absolutely agree with you.

That's politics for you,Lindsay. As a teacher in Washington State I see pro/anti public school initiatives, referendums, bill, laws go into effect and then get dropped, repealed, gutted, overturned all the time.
