The audio I listened to was I think the first three books together. I have never read it before, and I really liked it. The audio was good, but the next time I read it, and I will, it will be in print. I think I missed some stuff.

Most ridiculous miss-listing yet:Mary Poppins is on the should be made into a movie list!!
Please don't tell me there are humans in the "first world" (so with access to GR to add books to lists for starters) that haven't actually seen Mary Poppins? Or heard of the movie at least?
Philestines!

Mary Poppins is a movie?
Just kidding! I have seen it a million times as a child and with all my children. I even saw Mary Poppins Returns. I couldn't resist messing with you.

On the other hand, I wouldn't have objected to seeing Ready Player One on the should be made into a movie list. The Spielberg monstrosity was not a legitimate movie. Or at least it was not based on the book. Not that I have a strong opinion on it or anything.

I agree. I keep almost watching the Emily Blunt one, but I'm not sure I see the need for it. And then I get distracted by another shiny object. Movie. whatever.
Sammy wrote: "Yes! Didn't realise you were reading it! lol.it was a reread for me, but still a lot of fun!"
It was a reread for me, too - it had been a while. I'd forgotten how very much I'd enjoyed it.
Sammy wrote: "I always enjoy Scalzi. especially when narrated by Wil Wheaton."Yep - that is the best combination. I reread a lot of Scalzi this month, and I'll probably keep going in September.
Sammy wrote: "I'm considering re-reading Redshirts at some point in September. That one was my first Scalzi."I reread it last year, but I'd be willing to listen to it again, if you want the BR.
I'm not even certain what my first Scalzi novel was - probably Old Man's War.
After the above comments, I think I might listen to Agent to the Stars today. I always have fun with that one.
Sammy wrote: "Good call. It's on the debut list too 😉"Isn't that why we all turned to it this month, lol?
And Jenny - I've got a List that has Nona on it - we're covered. Although i think you might end up with a list, too.....
Well I was happy with my 29 points until I looked at the rest of the crew... oh well, it's still fun looking at the lists and finding things that work in conjunction with other challenges. I'm never going to be a winner here, just not the way I plan my reading, but I do enjoy the challenge format and the chance to push by boundaries... a little 😉
Some months go so much better than others - this one turned out to be a good one for me. I am definitely done, though - I won't finish any more books until tomorrow. :)
It took us a long time to build up to these kind of points LaurLa!This particular challenge is one of my main priorities, but will probably fall off somewhat now as I'm trying to juggle turf wars, Olympics and killer clowns!
And I am NOT giving her any special treatment in Killer Clowns despite begging or veiled threats for otherwise.

I've got the same trio right now, Sammy, but at least I had the sense to play Olympics and KRC NC!
Lol! Donna. Team challenges always get priority over personal ones (even if this is one of my favourites!). I'll fit this one in as and when I can (and I have a very suitable list all picked out at least), but the next 3 months or so will probably not be my personal best. I fully expect to have some kind of split personality thing going on by the time I'm a few weeks in. Must read long books! must read lots of short books! *goes not so quietly insane* 😆
Sorry, it took so long. I was distracted by other things. And I am barely awake so there is that.
