That's not my problem. She's posted a list but seems to only vote for a few people. If you want me to vote on your list, you should vote on mine!
Not everyone comes on here everyday, in fact many probably only come once a week if that. Once a month for some. I really don't want things to get messy or anything should be taken personally. It's just meant to be fun. Yes, in an ideal world it would ALL run smoothly, but we don't live in an ideal world and it will NEVER run smoothly. If you have a majority winner then go with that is my advice, but PLEASE DON'T TAKE ACTIONS OF PARTICIPANTS PERSONALLY. NO ONE MEANS IT THAT WAY!!
I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!

Thanks, Janet. This shouldn't be stressful for anyone, including you, and I'm sorry that you have to keep repeating yourself. I try not to sweat the small stuff (-: thanks again for the wonderful job you're doing with this thread and with this group!
Yes, I agree with Jean. We're all racking up quite a few votes as it is, which is a really good thing. If you end up with a tie, then the options are: 1) cast the tiebreaker yourself
2) ask for a 24 hour runoff vote (from volunteer PIFM voters) Just tell Janet if you want to do that.
3) read all the books in May that tied for first
Now let's have fun!!!
Janet, you are the best, girlfriend!

No worries with me. I've got an all out front runner. I do have to check and see if anyone has posted lists since I last checked. Probably tomorrow.
Hooray! I finally posted my votes! It took me almost 2 hours because I kept getting sidetracked looking up new books. I think I got about 5 'want-to-read's out of it. I've got some babies in the birdhouse on the front porch and they've been cheep-cheeping all morning. Like clockwork, every April 20th I start hearing them. There will be another couple of batches through the summer, but the April ones just make me so glad spring is here.

Ooops! Sorry. I'll get on that

Ok. Got that fixed. Changed my vote to Mr. Penumbra's 24 hour bookstore. I got on a roll with Mandy's list (sheepish grin)!!!
If I got anyone else wrong or missed someone, let me know.
Looks like mine is going to be
with a close second to
. I will probably read both. Just finishing the second of one of my tie books for April. (If that makes any sense).
I have a runaway leader with The Woods. I am looking forward to reading it finally as it has been on my TBR list forever!
I also have a tie between 2 books, (7 votes each) between Until You're Mine by Samantha Hayes and Disturbed by Kevin O'Brien, as I still have 5 people that haven't voted...so I will choose what I want!
I'm now in a 3-way tie. I really like Perri's comments after each vote. It shows you've really made an effort to select a book. Kudos
I'm missing Daisy and Diane S . Maybe y'all can help this tie...

I wouldn't hold your breath, Sue... It seems some want you to vote for them, but won't return the favor... *sighs*

Aww, thanks E. I think Diane S is just back home from the hospital (yeah!)

Thanks Pat :)
with your vote Mr Penumbra is ahead, so i guess that's the one i'll be reading :)

Voted for you E
I think if a person is missing votes from others, you should cast a "proxy" vote in their name or your name or whatever. Or ask someone on here who has voted already to cast a "proxy" vote. Just a thought.

It's okay. I will pick what I like.
As I've not had time again this month to participate, (kids were on school holidays) what if I make casting votes. I haven't voted for anyone so no bias anywhere. Just an idea!
Not that young but still hard work. I think that as they get older they get harder!!! All those hormones raging, drives me nuts!! Three girls - 18, 15 and 11. And my son is 10.

Good. From hereon in I will always have the casting vote, that way you don't have to choose your own read. Hopefully that will keep everyone happy. ;)
So, anyone who has a tie currently, say and I'll look at your lists and cast a vote.

With great pleasure, I am having cataract surgery on Tuesday. I have been reading my many books with one eye for about 3 years. Too chicken to get it done. Now I am looking forward to finally climbing out of the dark. (had to kinda fake my driver's license test this last year)
Patricia, good for you! My dad just had both eyes done (several months apart). Both surgeries went well. He turns 88 on Saturday. I'll bet you'll be reading, driving, and all that great stuff much better before long!

Oh, I almost forgot. I can't watch 3-D movies with one eye.

My great grandfather was blind, so this cornea problem is genetic, and in my case the surgery went well. Now I have 20/20 vision in one eye, and the second eye is now ready for the same surgery. When I see my surgeon in the summer I will find out when. Don't worry about the cataract surgery, as it is a quick procedure, and you will be fine right after. I wish you the best of luck, and let us know.
