Let's play a game...
I'm trying to play, but people keep guessing the ones I know before I can get there! If someone gets one right, can the correct answer be posted in the comment where they're told they're right? Otherwise you have to go back through the posts to find what they wrote, as you can't see the name with the spoilers hidden. Which could get time-consuming as the thread gets bigger. Or maybe we could have a pinned post with the solved questions and their answers?
Justanotherbiblophile wrote: "Yeah, I'm deleting the 'currently unguessed' ones, and posting new ones."Why bother?

An entire thread can be pinned (made sticky), but not a post as far as I'm aware.

the first post could be edited to add the solved questions and their answers.I agree that deleting posts is confusing and causes the "unread" counter to go all weird. Just leave them or edit them to have placeholder text.
Yeah, I think it's ok to leave them -- to find the most recent you just go to the end of the comment list and work backwards.
Valerie wrote: "If someone gets one right, can the correct answer be posted in the comment where they're told they're right?"That makes sense, but could we still put the answer under a spoiler tag in case new visitors to the thread want to guess before seeing the answer?
I see that the very first post in this thread is now being updated with all questions and answers -- nice! It may get very very long though :)
I can't really see a way to give a hint without giving it away, and I think the wording is a touch unfair...just one word would make all the difference but doing so now would give it away instantly so I would honestly say pull it off it's a touch unfair.Michele wrote: "Ooh! Is #16 [spoilers removed]?"
Yes.
Although, Aaron, we should be writing the 'you are correct' with the actual answers to the question, as suggested. Also, I agree, brilliant :D
Since we needed another stumper, here you go guys. 18. A young girl gets taken away to a place riddled with bad creatures.
19. A son leaves home to search for a missing parent. The search is complicated by misinformation and mistaken identity.

You can't on an Iphone"
Try pressing the "123" key (if you're viewing letters on the keyboard), then the "#+=" key. Special characters are hidden on an iPhone.

Cumbling Michael wrote: "20. The smell of immortality... or root vegetables?"Sorry, but no. You need to think outside the genre. Also, every word in the clue has significance.
Michael
The only words that don't have special significance to that guess are 'the' 'of' '...' and 'or'. Since all the rest match. :PHow about (view spoiler)?
