Every team analysed after Round 10 in just three words.ADELAIDE CROWS: More Pies pain.
BRISBANE LIONS: Not a contest.
CARLTON: Injury issues underplayed.
COLLINGWOOD: Well past cliché.
ESSENDON: More wins coming.
FREMANTLE: Mature away win.
GEELONG: Almost gave up.
GOLD COAST SUNS: The humidity kings.
GWS GIANTS: Seriously falling off.
HAWTHORN:Safe mode... shutdown.
MELBOURNE: Just weirdly untrustworthy.
NORTH MELBOURNE: Showed a bit.
PORT ADELAIDE: The DBJ miracle.(small forward Darcy Byrne-Jones)
RICHMOND: Injuries. Can’t evaluate.
ST KILDA: Nah. They’re bad.
SYDNEY SWANS: Surging from pack.
WEST COAST EAGLES: Home fortress rebuilt.
WESTERN BULLDOGS: Quietly a threat?
Well done Phil & Suzy. A close shave for Port, Hawks seemingly just dropped off in that final moments....but Eagles are beginning to find some form. I nearly tipped them, but didn't find the confidence to do so, i was risking it with the Suns! GWS are beginning to suffer from the same issue they get each season, injuries. That said, they've still got a lot of talent on the pitch....what's going on there?
ROUND 11Sydney Swans +14
Fremantle Dockers
Port Adelaide Power
Carlton Blues
Geelong Cats
Essendon Bombers
Brisbane Lions

My theory on the Giants is that Toby Greene's new baby is keeping him up at nights,My favourite singer, Mick Thomas (well one of them) who I've mentioned before on this thread as the singer/writer of any number of songs that mention footy (When The Swans Return; Under The Clocks; A DVD and a New Tattoo) is a mad St Kilda supporter. Today, on FaceBook, he was spruiking a new Canadian documentary that he took part in and said "and I feel it's about as much fun as you can have on a winter's night in front of the tele now that the FOOTBALL HAS TURNED TO SHIT!"

Tonight's result:Western Bulldogs (on hiatus) v Sydney Swans (Anita)
4.3.27 (Q1) 4.1.25
7.8.50 (Q2) 7.4.46
8.11.59 (Q3) 12.6.78
12.16.88 (Q4) 16.6.102
I thought I was in the box seat halfway through the final quarter but the Doggies came back hard, cutting the margin to 8 points. Tim must have been worried, sitting there on the floor - or he may have been sensible and repaired to the nearest sports bar. Steve was spot on with his tip of the Swans by 14 points so $7.00 goes to Backpack Beds For Homeless. Well done!
I knew this would happen. I picked up James McBride's The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store from the library on Wednesday (currently 50 pages in and enjoying it) and now Richard Flanagan's Question 7 is ready for me to pick up. 24 reservations after me for the first one and 9 for the second. I'm going to have to put down my knitting (birthday present for grand-daughter in July) and get reading FAST! I just hope Steven Carroll's Death of a Foreign Gentleman (I'm 4th of 15) doesn't become available any time soon.

Wow, almost a carbon copy of last night's game. With only a few minutes on the clock I was sure the Pies had it in the bag but then Freo scored three late goals. I tipped the Pies but was barracking for Freo - ABC - anyone but Collingwood!

Thank you Suzy but it will not last long. This week's tips as follows:Port by 17
Pies
Hawthorn
Eagles
Cats
Demons
Bombers
Not a easy round this week, none of these games are easy calls, most are coin toss games..even the Eagles, Suns & Hawks, as they could all get up here. And i wouldn't put Richmond out of the frame to get one over the poor performing Cats neither. Port v Blues is a coin toss as is Pies v Dogs game, but here's mine:Port - 5 points
Bulldogs
Hawks
Eagles
Cats
Demons
Suns
Wow! ... this round seemed to come around fast! ... LOL!!! ;o>Blues by 7
Bulldogs
Crows
Saints
Tigers
Dockers
SUNS
So I woke from a heavy sleep this morning dreaming that I was watching the Suns v Bombers game, first quarter, Bombers leading by 13 points to 6 and Kyle Langford was lining up for goal AND I hadn't done my footy tips! It was so real! I shot out of bed and then remembered it was only Thursday. So I am later than usual but still in time. it is a hard round but here goes:My tips:
Port x 9 (a tough pick, especially without Connor Rozee but they've still got some great players plus the home ground advantage)
Pies (injury-plagued, as are many teams, but I'm hoping their structure will hold and the replacements will just slot in)
Crows
Eagles
Cats
Dees
Dons (sticking with my boys; they've got to land these games if they want to play Finals this year)
I think I might just have made it in time. Sorry Val for being so latePort Adelaide x 25
Collingwood
Hawthorn
West Coast
Geelong
Melbourne
Essendon
Tonight's result:Port Adelaide Power (available) v Carlton Blues (available)
3.2.20 (Q1) 3.2.20
4.8.32 (Q2) 5.5.35
7.9.51 (Q3) 8.10.58
10.11.71 (Q4) 16.11.107
For three quarters both teams went goal for goal although Carlton looked more confident. In the final quarter, the Blues could do nothing wrong. Every kick within the 50m arc went through the big sticks. They're up to 4th on the ladder and when they're hot, they're hot. Bombers next weekend and Carlton are our bogey team!

WoW! ... I am unexpectedly having a very good day indeed today! ... Brilliant ballwork Blues!!! ;o>
I've changed my Pies tip to Bulldogs..i think Collingwood are going to struggle somewhat with the recent injuries added...but it'll still be a tight one i think.
I've noted your change of heart Duke - it was well before the first bounce. It's a real coin toss who will win this one. The Dogs will never come across the Pies so undermanned again so need to take advantage of it. I'm just never game to tip against the Pies.
And you made the right call! Though it was tight until the final quarter. I thought Darcy Moore had a poor night for the Pies; Adam Treloar had a great night for the Doggies.Tonight's result:

I apologise for stating, last week, that the Demons/Freo game was in Melbourne. It was only when i saw some of the highlights late this afternoon I realised it was in Alice Springs. It wouldn't have changed my tip but some of you may have thought differently.
After watching some of this weekend's game I am still not sure what constitutes "holding the ball" and how or why 50m penalties are given. It's getting ridiculous. I don't think the players know either. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. I really fear umpiring decisions are skewing results.
Our tipsters' ladder is as follows:Round 12 (first number is correct number of wins - you want this to be high; number in brackets is the cumulative margin which is used to separate punters on the same amount of points - you want this to be low)
