Kat (bookworm2017) | 348 comments Melissa wrote: "Can we use this as an Overload for Black cover? The Skeleton Key by Erin Kelly"

Unfortunately it's only 48% black

message 355: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 1347 comments We can move Key of Light (Key Trilogy, #1) by Nora Roberts to Overload as Purple cover and use The Skeleton Key by Erin Kelly as Skip (Author-Kelly)

message 356: by Kat (new)

Kat (bookworm2017) | 348 comments Sorry that isn’t enough purple either unless my tineye is having a moment https://labs.tineye.com/color/efbd1fb...

message 357: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 1347 comments The entire cover is purple I’m not sure how it’s not showing enough lol

If you add all the violet together it’s well over 50%

Tineye is very fussy! Some book covers I think are nothing but a certain colour and it isn’t enough. It’s up to Kristen and rest of them though but they generally use tineye as well. I thought I’d let u know since I was online when you asked.

message 359: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten | 268 comments I’d say that Key of Light is definitely purple—even just using the lighter violets it’s over 70§. We can definitely use it there.

Kirsten | 268 comments Hi, friends!

I signed up for 2 reverses I’m not really feeling right now. We’ve got a few weeks (and I’m such a mood reader), but I’m also keeping my eyes on some options. I’ve read both Evelyn Haugo and Murder Between Us, so maybe we can swap at some point.

I'm also going to read Grave Between Us as well this month for Hunt, but was hoping to uses these for I since they take place in Iowa, but I'm sure we will have other overlap within this team.

message 366: by MN Lisa (new)

MN Lisa (lisa713mn) | 145 comments and I just removed two of the ones I had for reverse.

Please take a moment to review the books that are claimed and update the Reverse Column (AE and AF) if you have read any. That will give us more books to chose from to fill those spaces.

Thanks!

We are about 3 weeks from being done with Uno and we've done great. I'm sure Kirsten will post about the April Mini that starts 4/15 soon so we can start planning for that.

I moved the Key of Light to Overload, but couldn't find the Skeleton Key to move to Skip. Are you still planning on reading it? Did I just not see it on the spreadsheet?

message 368: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 1347 comments I haven’t added it yet. I’ll do that at some point today. I’m hoping to finish my current book today or tomorrow then read the Blue Skip and then the Overload I have claimed. Once that’s done I’ll move on to Skeleton Key.

I went thru and checked for the reverses. All I’ve read is Evelyn Hugo. I can see what other team members have read and possibly claim a reverse. I’ll do that to tonight as well.

message 369: by Kat (new)

Kat (bookworm2017) | 348 comments Was my last two books added please ?

message 370: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten | 268 comments I'm about to do the mini explanation, but I didn't want this to get lost:

Yay that everything on the spreadsheet is on a shelf--that's a huge help for me. Thank you.

Yes, Kat, I added your books today and swapped King with The Murder Between Us to use as an I

Keep looking for Is and Reverses, team--we still have a fair few of those to fill

We are not quite at the halfway point and we are not quite half-finished with hands.

I had used The Murder Between Us as a Skip; I used King as a Skip and The Murder Between Us as an I.

Yes, we still need ~5 more Is and several of each other letter. And with the Mini, we have a bunch of slots to fill!

She moved King to Skip (for the name) instead of Murder Between Us.

Murder Between Us has an I as it takes place in Iowa.

Yes, We still need 3 Ns

Melissa | 1347 comments I just finished an I.

I can take 11 or 12 with The Skeleton Key by Erin Kelly if we think that has a sinister or sinful cover feel? If not, I'm sure it'll fit somewhere else.

For normal uno

Never Lie by Freida McFadden
Pages: 334
Date read: 13.4.24
Rating: 4*
How it fits: Title starts with N (9)

I’d forgot the mini doesn’t start until Monday so can’t use it for mini,

Definitely sinister! Don’t finish until Monday!

Kat, I’ll get yours logged.

message 380: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 1347 comments Ok, great! I'll add it to the spreadsheet. Didn't even start yet :)

I'll hold off on finishing anything else until the mini starts.

Melissa | 1347 comments I found The Henna Artist (The Jaipur Trilogy, #1) by Alka Joshi to cover 5 Red (takes place in India) so I added that to the spreadsheet. I'm leaving my 2 Red for now but if someone else has something to cover that please remove my book and add yours! I don't have it from the library yet and I've claimed a few spots I want to get to first.

ETA I know tineye says brown on this one but the cover is definitely red. I've read this book for Uno before in 2021 but if you want to take it to the Mods, please let me know if there is a problem!

message 382: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten | 268 comments It’s totally red, imo.

Melissa | 1347 comments I removed my Reverse because it doesn't look like I'll be getting it in from the library on time.

I'm starting the Blue Skip now and should have it done in the next couple days.

If you need to replace the Reverse you can use Taylor's The Unhoneymooners. I read it in November 2021 which I've added to the spreadsheet just in case.
