As for Emma, Disappeared, I will ask a librarian to add the Amazon cover—I think that works. I’ll keep you posted.
Melis, I’ll get June Farrow posted. Good luck finishing your last book—it and my Show Girl are the only 2 we’ve got left for our hands.

I figured! Thanks.

Hello! Can I get a page counted added for For nEver Mine?
It's available on Smashwords at 56,131 words: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...
TIA
I’m happy to give them a day or two, but I do want to use it for the mini.

Hello, cardsharks!
We are nearly finished with March. Congratulations! Except for Melis' in process The Last Russian Doll (skip yellow) all our hands are complete, March Mini Part I is complete, and we've read the 25 books we can use to make cocktails. If you finish another book this month, you don't need to log it on the spreadsheet or in a completion post for March. You can, however, hold off finishing (like waiting on the last chapter, which I'm doing for a book I started last week) until Monday and log it for April. If you've got a book with a 5/I or a 7/V or 9/N and can hold off, please do. We have a bunch of those for April.
Our final task is fun and creative and you can participate as you like or not. Let's make some drinks!
We need to come up with drink names and descriptions for part 2. These do not need to be real drinks but they need to follow the Name of Person Name of Drink (like Aunt Entity's Sidecar). Below, I have the 25 books we can draw from. You may use words from the title of the book, the series title, the author's name, any item on the cover, any color on the cover (it doesn't need to be 50%), any name from the book and any setting in the book. You can add any connecting words (in, and, of, the, etc) and you can make anything plural or possessive.
Here are the books--you can click the links to find info about the colors, cover items, etc.
I Let Her In
Secret Santa
Chase in Shadow
The Wife Upstairs
With This Bling
Guilt by Association
Breaking Dawn
Three Kings
✔Moonlight Becomes You
Sunflower Sisters
What It Looks Like
Love Language
Letters to Half Moon Street
The Prince's Vessel
The Scarlet Pimpernel
Resisting Double Trouble
The Bachelor's Valet
For nEver Mine
Show Girl
It Will Come Back
Even Though I Knew the End
The Crimson Moth
Shift Work
✔The Unmaking of June Farrow
Good Girl, Bad Blood
You can use 2-6 words from any book you choose, but you can only use each book once.
When you come up with a drink, please put the drink name and description, the name of the books you used and the element. For example:
The Bachelor and the Wife's Love Mistake: A love like this could never be a mistake! Neither is this drink! Pink champagne is poured over a sugar cube dissolved in bitter absinthe.
The Bachelor's Valet --title
The Wife Upstairs--title
Love Language--title
For nEver Mine--series title
Ask if you have questions!
Before you post your drink, make sure no-one has claimed the book yet. Play if you like, but there's no pressure to contribute if this isn't your thing.

Should the submissions go here or on the spreadsheet?
Here's one.
Starry Moonlight - Crown Royal Blackberry Whiskey over crushed rice. Just sit back and relax.

Moonlight becomes you.
I'm trying, but as usual not sure I'm following proper instructions.

I think your example would work if you included a name/person like in all the drink examples (June's Starry Night, or using another book, Cassie's Starry Night, with the MC of I Let Her In) and if the justification for "Starry" is that the cover shows a starry sky (because we can't change words except to make them plural or possessive).

ok, I'll worry about it next time since all the books are already in play. Thanks for trying to help.

But as far as I was always aware when you use Tin Eye it’s only a guide and you are supposed to uncheck the Exclude background and Exclude interior background boxes. When you do that

I’m only bringing this up because I know Tin Eye is picky and weird sometimes and I know how challenging it can be when trying to find cover books and making sure they are enough of a certain cover. So for future knowledge I just wanted to say that.
I am super laid back and will go with whatever flow works LOL. I’m honestly not mad or upset or annoyed or anything like that. You can use the book for Skip or Overload or 9 or wherever it fits best. I just don’t want us to be searching for a book to cover Overload when we have one read.
And that’s all I’ve got 😆 We’re doing such an awesome job everyone!! I’ll try to log on tomorrow night and help with some drink names if we still need them.

I’ve tried your cover and one from amazon excluded background and I get 45% and 46%

I checked the SS last night and I don’t think Key of Knowledge has been logged yet and I haven’t checked with captains (I was waiting on team consensus but it doesn’t look like we’ve got that). I’ll do that now and based on what they say I’ll log accordingly.
Lisa and I aren’t trying to control where books go, but just want to be sure things work where we put them for the final reckoning.

Here’s a countdown to the end of the challenge: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...

I did not know we could use that! I thought this was a no tineye challenge. Seems sorted then.

I just try to avoid going after color covers since I'm so bad at it. :)
From Captain's Thread:
To find if a cover is more than 50% of a colour, you can use this link
https://labs.tineye.com/color/
You are NOT REQUIRED to use tineye. It is linked here as it is usually the best place to check if you are unsure.
Every so often, a cover will look like a certain cover, but the tool tells you otherwise (as the image may not accurately reflect the cover). If you think you have an example of this, and want your fellow captains opinion, you can post here.

Also here’s the link if we still need it https://labs.tineye.com/color/b51b46e...

And yes, happy Easter if it's your holiday.

Don't forget there are still a number of Color Cards that can be claimed. These get us 30 points each so we should try and finish those first.
Let Kirsten or I know if you have any questions. Go Team!
We also need a total of 12-Ns, 8-Ss and 9Is. If you've got them let us know. I do review the spreadsheet, but with these I'd place them as soon as we can so I can track what we still need.

Authors surname is King
Also could go under 6 blue as it has a character called Susan

The list of color covers has been up to date, so check that if you're looking to fill something in (6 Blue and Skip Blue have been claimed).

When I checked yesterday it was still looking to be filled. No worries

It's a Mum's Life by Sophie King
Pages: 434
Date read: 3.4.24
Justification: Has author first name beginning with or character S (6) Has author surname beginning with K (Skip)

Kat if you can post the link to Amazon showing the cover and the word count I can update Goodreads. It can’t hurt to have a Skip Blue as backup. My book covers a 9 as well so it can be moved there if we needed it.

Just noticed that there isn’t a page count on amazon either 🙄

And I should have been clear--either page numbers or word counts will probably work, but will need an okay from the mods.

Hello, cardsharks! We're not quite a week into April and we've already finished 10% of our books! Every month, the challenges get harder and we get more hands, so we're in super shape to finish strong.
We did everything we could do in March, but some teams had much better cards than we did, so we ended up in 15th place, which is about in the middle.
Did you read anything good this week? I blew through Gregory Ashe's Iron on Iron series and it was amazing and intense and a great story of friendship. If you read MM or romantic suspense, you should be reading Ashe, I think.
Please continue to log your books and put them on your uno shelves. And please do check in! I want to know what you've read.

My question:
Hi, librarian friends--
A player would like to be able to use this book: It's a Mum's Life. Neither GR nor Amazon have a page count, but she did find this listing with one: https://play.google.com/store/books/d...
and my friend Amanda found this because she is super helpful: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/its-...
Can the page count be added to GR, or can she receive permission to use it anyway?
And the response:
Sorry but Goodreads doesn't consider Google books or Barnes & Noble acceptable sources for book data: https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/...
I also can't find a source that is allowable by GR with a page count, or an audio version. So I'm sorry but she won't be able to use it unless she can find either of those .
So, it doesn't seem like It's a Mum's Life will work.
