message 55: by Em__Jay (new)

Em__Jay | 47 comments I am still deciding what to read.

My problem is that once I get my teeth stuck into a series, I want to really BINGE. For example, I started the Maisy Dobbs series on 29 Dec and I'm already up to book 9! 😂 It's a fabulous series, by the way, and well worth adding to your TBR.

I thought I had found a series - the Flavia De Luce books - that I could spread across the year. I even counted them . . . yes, there are exactly 12 books. How serendipitous! Then I take a closer look and see book 11 is out this year with book 12 out in 2025. 🤦‍♀️

I know I will find something but it made me laugh that what I thought would be an easy challenge is proving more difficult than anticipated. 😀

Mary (bookworm60) | 52 comments I'm going to have to retire from this challenge, sorry. I set up for the early Peter Corris novels. I enjoyed the first one but the second one is so full of casual racism and sexism that I'm stuck. It was pretty normal for it's time but I just can't come at the thought of another ten.
