Carolyn | 2078 comments Criminal (Will Trent, #6) by Karin Slaughter Criminal by Karin Slaughter is an important episode in her Will Trent series as we find out all about Will's background, his mother's death and why he ended up in an Orphanage.

PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments Aussie author and former journo Chris Hammer writes complex mysteries with a broad range of characters. The Valley has gold mining, politicians, cops (straight and bent), hippie types, and a couple of favourite detectives. Another excellent read.

PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments I recently finished the final two novellas in Amazon's Busybodies Collection of six cosy mysteries and especially enjoyed the last one.

One Lucky Subscriber by Kellye Garrett features an imaginative YouTube celebrity hosting a tricky hide-n-seek with big prize money in the the American Dream Mall.
One Lucky Subscriber (Busybodies Collection, #5) by Kellye Garrett My review of One Lucky Subscriber

A Classic Case by Alicia Thompson is my favourite - a delightful rom-com mystery with a nice twist. Good finish to an uneven collection.

Carolyn | 2078 comments This month's BOM The Spy Coast (The Martini Club, #1) by Tess Gerritsen The Spy Coast by Tess Gerritsen is an exciting start to a new series featuring retired spies and is good fun but definitely not a cosy mystery! Highly recommended!

Carolyn | 2078 comments Hold Strong by Robert Dugoni Hold Strong by Robert Dugoni, Jeff Langholz & Chris Crabtree was a really tough book to read. However, it was really well written and researched and I learnt about something truly horrific that I never knew happened in WW2.

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished new-to-me author and #1 in a series The Unquiet Bones by Melvin R. Starr

Medieval whodunnit, cosy feel and some droll humour. Very happy to find this one, and find that there are about #15 more in the series to follow.

The Unquiet Bones (Hugh de Singleton, Surgeon Chronicles #1) by Melvin R. Starr ★★★★

Sounds intriguing Kerri! It's always exciting to find a new author that you enjoy :)

PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments I'm a fan of Aussie crime/mystery author Michael Robotham. Professor Joe O'Loughlin is a London psychologist who works as a profiler with the police. There is some blood and gore (well, serial killers are notoriously messy, aren't they?) but it's never the focus, and there are other crimes.

Watching You is #7 in the Joseph O'Loughlin series, but you could enjoy it as a standalone.

Love this series also Phrynne.
And oddly, I used the word "droll" earlier today too

Carolyn | 2078 comments Heavy Are the Stones by J.D. Barker Heavy Are the Stones by J.D. Barker & Christine Daigle is a fast paced thriller featuring serial killers, social media & VR technology. Didn't quite convince me but many reviewers loved it.
