Read 2015-2020:
This boy is born in jail & is friends with all the prisoners & guards, he was born because his mother was put in jail for (drunk driving ?) & crashed, but she was covering up for her boyfriend(kid's father). The kid later gets taken out when someone, new takes over the jail(lawyer?) The man becomes the foster dad of the kid, but is trying to make the mother relive her sentence claiming it doesn't count because she had her son with her.
The kid starts investigating the "crime" his mother had committed & finds the watch of his father, the mother confesses to the child that she was covering for his dad.
