Would you recommend The Writing Retreat? I keep going back and forth on whether or not I would enjoy it. It sounds intriguing, yet not particularly original, but I'm still curious.

I am an amateur writer, so I really got into the characters and their struggles with the writing process, even before the "thriller" stuff happens. It is a thriller rather than a mystery because the who and why becomes apparent 2/3rds or 3/4s through, as opposed to those books where the killer/bad guy isn't revealed until the last chapter. I did like it overall.
