I've just finished The Encounter#3.
It felt like the focus was more on Tobias being not able to return to human again and less on the battle. I didn't found that bad, but I felt so sad for him. There was a lot of sadness coming out from him, I think.

He definitely has some rock bottom moments throughout, in his adjustment to "hawkdom"... I think that was done to get him sorted for future adventures (and also because he doesn't get as many books as the human POVs... the publishers didn't think people would connect with a hawk as much, apparently... so Tobias only POVs in X3 books until around book 40, when they give him equal rotation... when the series is almost over...

Which is always so shocking for me! I've known Tobias's character to be a lot of people's favorite XD

Yeah, I was also rather bummed to hear that he doesn't get equal weight in the upcoming books...

It's a bit dissapointing that Tobias doesn't get the attention in the series that he deserves. I understand that his POV isn't easy to write from, but still. It adds to the stories.
