MountainKat | 31770 comments Information required when posting your completion/s:

Task
Book/cover link
Page numbers with source
How book qualified, with links or cover as necessary.
Date Completed.
Rating/Review.

**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**

Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊

MountainKat | 31770 comments I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.

Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.

PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 1, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4062 comments First Task - All Teams!

Task 1 - 0. Each teammate reads a book tagged ‘family’ or ‘holiday’ - teams decide.

As we head into fall this year, I am really looking forward to gathering with family especially for the holidays! So for this task teams need to decide if they are reading books tagged as ‘family’ OR books tagged ‘holiday’. Tags are the only qualifier for this task. Include the team decision in your completion posts. Also, please include a link to the top shelves page with your qualifying tag along with how many tags and the top shelves page number in your completion posts.

message 25: by Amanda (new)

Finding My Elf by David Valdes
Finding My Elf by David Valdes
256 Pages
How it qualifies: MPG Holiday
Date Read: 9.25.2023
Rating: 3.5 Stars
Review: This is billed as a holiday romcom, but I think the title more accurately portrays what you're going to get. This book is truly about Cam figuring out who is and what he wants in life with a holiday backdrop and an admittedly adorable love interest. It's definitely not light on the holiday atmosphere, which I'm always looking for in Christmas stories. And while Cam could be a little much at time, I thought that fit for his age and where he was at in life. (Plus Marco balanced it out being adorable). Overall a fun Christmas coming of age story.

Yes I realized after that family is on pretty much every MM book, I think because of found family themes maybe? With the time any choice will probably be up to you and me again so hopefully we do an alright job 😂

Trio | 2794 comments I had no idea Amanda, that was such a surprise to me once I started looking for it.
I read a cute one last night He Said, He Said if you need something short and sweet, it was pretty good.

I need a book with a "smiling cover model" for the MMRG SH, it's my last required book for that challenge, and dayum it's hard to find anything with good points and a smiling cover model in an MM romance 🤣

He's always extremely wordy. Could definitely say it in less, but I always kinda get swept up in his language lol. Jack and Ethan from the Executive Office series are one of my favorite couples

Trio | 2794 comments I got kind of sick of Tal Bauer, so I had taken a break. But I just started You & Me and I'm enjoying it.

10. Read 4 books by authors who write under more than one name
All or Nothing by Macy Blake
220 pages
How it Fits: also publishes under the name Poppy Dennison https://macyblake.com/author/
Read: 30 Sep
Rating: 4 stars
Review: I'm actually enjoying the world that Macy Blake is building in their The Chosen One series, it's just a little too much steam for me lol.

The audio is nicely performed by Michael Dean.
