Just a couple of reminders before we get started!

‼️ Everyone should notifications turned on for this thread and your team thread! I will make all announcements here!

‼️ You will need to post in this thread when your team has completed a task. I do not go check team threads until I'm told the team is ready for a new task. Anyone can post that your team is complete, you do not need to wait for your team leader!

‼️ Tasks are given no sooner than every other day. The first task will be posted here is a little while and the earliest the second task could be assigned is Monday morning. This is all based on my time - because that is the only way I could keep track of it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

First Task - All Teams!

Task 1 - 0. Each teammate reads a book tagged ‘family’ or ‘holiday’ - teams decide.

As we head into fall this year, I am really looking forward to gathering with family especially for the holidays! So for this task teams need to decide if they are reading books tagged as ‘family’ OR books tagged ‘holiday’. Tags are the only qualifier for this task. Include the team decision in your completion posts. Also, please include a link to the top shelves page with your qualifying tag along with how many tags and the top shelves page number in your completion posts.

No, needs to be the American kind of holiday like Christmas or Halloween, not vacation.

Holidays will work. No minimum for the number of tags - just has to be tagged.

I know it is 150 pages and 1st edition Kindle.

Does this also count if it is a children's book?

I Want to read
James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl
and that is 153 pages

but it is only 23843 words which I know doesn't work for other of my challenges.

I haven’t made a distinction between adult and children’s books in the past, and I’m not going to now. That said, if it became a common occurrence I would probably have to rule children’s books out because it does feel a little like people are skirting the rules a little when they do that.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I’ve been away all day. For the teams that have completed the first task, I did set my alarm earlier than I planned so I can assign your next task. Fingers crossed that I actually get up then. 🤞🏻 (I’m super tired, but haven’t been sleeping well so it is always a crapshoot how any given night goes.)
