Halloween Roundup- 12-Howling Hobgoblins
ompletion PostBook: Blood Bound
Finished Date: 09-10-23
Task: Leg 2 (blood in title)
How It Fits: Blood in title

Technically Frankenstein is not the name of this monster. It is the last name of his creator. He was created by Victor Frankenstein out of multiple corpses. He is 8 feet tall and proportionally large. His features are hideous as well with dull, watery eyes and yellow skin. Most people are scared of him and hate him on sight. He gave up hope of ever being accepted by humans. Then he decided that he had a right to happiness and Victor was to blame. He demanded that Victor create a female companion for him. Victor started to comply but had second thoughts. This angered him and he started killing people that Victor loved.
To catch Frankenstein complete the following tasks:
Arm 1: Create a chain of 3 using titles with a common word (example: all titles have "Dark" in them)
Arm 2: Create a chain of 3 using books with "CORPSE" in the title or series
Leg 1: Create a chain of 3 books with a monstrous character (your interpretation)
Leg 2: Create a chain of 3 using books with black covers (minimum 50%)
for the common word could it be books with number (s) in the title? It wouldn't have to be the same number just a number.

I think it would have to be the same number.
I'd be happy to use something common like 'blood' again, or love. Let's see if the 3 of us have any books coming up with a common word in the title.
I have these coming up:High Stakes
The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet
Camp Zero
A Quiet Life in the Country
Monument 14
The Duke and I
Vertigo
The only one I have that matches that list is How High We Go In The Dark, but it's a library book and currently already loaned out so I may have a wait for it. Here's my list of current books on hand or in transit for me at the library:
A Dutiful Boy
The Day The World Came to Town
Rovers
Harlem Shuffle
Take Your Breath Away
The End of the World
Cat Shout For You
The Drop
The Gates
I'm assuming common words like "the" don't count

Reminder: Everyone should read at least one task per monster. Nobody should read a whole chain by themselves. This is rule #1.

Vampires are undead creatures that survive by drinking blood. Some folklore says that they can be warded off with things like garlic, mustard seeds, crucifixes, rosaries, or holy water. They also claim that vampires cannot walk on consecrated ground or in sunlight. They must be invited into your home before they can come and go as they please. Killing a vampire is usually done by staking them with wood, preferably Ash, or by decapitation.
To capture the vampire, complete the following tasks
Arm 1: Create a chain of 3 using titles or series with the word "vampire"
Arm 2: Create a chain of 3 using books with all the letters 'ASH' in the title (any order)
Leg 1 Create a chain of 3 books with a cross or crucifix on the cover or in the title
Leg 2 Create a chain of 3 books with a red cover (minimum 50%)
