September Shelf is cyberpunk

This is not a shelf I'm very familiar with though it appears that I have read & enjoyed some. In searching for the image, I came across this list from which I've read 6. Any on the list familiar to you?

I think I will read the next in the murderbot series Fugitive Telemetry
I have also read 6 from that list Tien - I wonder if they are the same six!

I have read a few, and it seems that The Lunar Chronicles Series by Marissa Meyer is on this list. I will read the next one: Cress.

Meg, I have seen good recommends for the Murderbot series, maybe I should give that a try also some time.

Murderbot is wonderful!!!!! Go for it. They're short, and you'll be hooked with the first one.

This is definitely a shelf from which I read a lot of books. Some of my favorites are here. They include the Murderbot series, but also Cory Doctorow and several of Neal Stephenson's - his are long but worth it. On the first page of the shelf, the Bacigalupi book The Windup Girl is one of my rare 5* reads. So are Daemon and Ready Player One - you should definitely read that one before watching the movie if you haven't already.

I seem to have read a lot of firsts in William Gibson's various series, given them 3*, and not gotten around to reading #2 yet. Take that for what it's worth.

As for my own choice, we just met John Scalzi at the National Book Festival earlier this month, so it seems reasonable to go for one of his. The signed copy I have in hand is Lock In, which is rather old. Both my son-in-law and grandson have liked it, so that has to be my first choice (if I can avoid starting it for three more days, LOL).

And since Murderbot #7 won't be out until November, I'll content myself for now with reading the relatively new short story Compulsory, which is 0.5.

There may well be others. It will be fun to peruse the shelf, as well as the "Top 23" list Lyn shared with us.

Hello, new here, but looking forward to the monthly read for the rest of this year 😊.

Will also read Fugitive Telemetry from Murderbot, as I have been trying to find an excuse to slot it somewhere.

If you haven’t read Murderbot, they are a lot of fun. I recommended the audiobook to one of my RL book club peeps and they loved it.

Got a heap of books I am going to try to squeeze in, mostly Philip K. Dick, as I have begun collecting his works.

I read 7 on that list. Not too bad. I dnf'ed one book as well. So technically I only finished 6 of them.

I can recommend The Original This is by Sanderson and Kowal and is a short book. I loved this book.

I recently read Dark Matter which was also excellent.

I am currently reading China Mountain Zhang

I have a couple on my list that also work for by the month for me as well.
