We decided to go on vacations exactly on the 27th. So that day we will be flying to Croatia, taking over our rented boat, buying groceries, etc, etc. So, most probably I will not participate. Talk again then next year!
Shoot… 😏 I hope you have good weather and that it’s warm enough for you! If you feel like checking in, even if you only manage to read a few pages, please do!
Lovely! Maybe reading a few pages of book while floating on a river might be a nice quiet time. Enjoy :)
Lamilla wrote: "Have a great time on vacation, Vavita! Is it your first time in Croatia?"
This is the third time. It is the first time south of Croatia.

Thanks for the good wishes. I will bring a couple of books with me. I doubt that I will have internet.
Open books I should be finishing this month:
I have to read From a Buick 8 but it is not so exciting. I might not continue with it. Same with A Suitable Vengeance
Maybe:
Sacrificios humanos
Bloodchild

Both maybes sound pretty bloodthirsty… 😝I liked Bloodchild and it‘s only a short story, it’s a quick read…
Hope you enjoy reading at some point during your holiday. But most importantly we want to hear all about your vacation when you get back!

Oh, so sorry to hear you're not enjoying From a Buick. I really liked it. Havent started A Suitable Vengeance yet, had a 2 month wait at the library, it just came in, but I have other buddy reads to finish first.
Hope you have a great vacation and get some nice reading done too!

Readathon April 2025
I am currently reading 2 books and my goal is to finish them. I am reading:
For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway, and
Cenizas de rencor (Thomas Lynley nº 7) by Elizabeth George.
If I manage to finish them, then I will start with The Redeemer(Harry Hole #6).
I am quite busy this weekend. I will do my best. I will not have any snacks prepared or block time. This is why 2 of the 3 books are audios… then I can clean and listen at the same time.

I love Lynley and Harry Hole! (I also have a Lynley on my readathon TBR.) Hope you manage a good amount of reading time, in spite of being busy.
I love to listen to audio books as I clean too. The better the book, the more cleaning that gets done!

My son has 2 basketball games on Saturday. The games are 2 hours away from home.
This means I will have at least 4 hours to read.
My plan is to finish my current kindle read and my audio:
The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared - kindle
A Child Alone With Strangers - audio
