Other random details are that the robot achieved sentience by being stuck in a broken spaceship alone for too long. He learned how to dream. Girl mentions that her family died in snowmobile(?) accident and she lost her fertility. All the robots are built to look the same, but the MC doesn’t. There are sex robots, a male and female model. MC robot mentions that he is programmed with all robot abilities. Names of robot models are based on letters of the alphabet I think.

It wasn’t a very popular book, I read it on the kindle I believe, and the author vaguely hinted at Christianity. The chapters alternated POV from the robot boy and the girl. There was nothing special about the cover, I think it was just space.
