Monthly Challenge: August 2023

Welcome to our monthly Listopia Madness challenge. It is a relatively simple challenge. Every month you will get 3 listopia lists from me and 3 from the winners of the previous month. *Please note that if you do not respond in a reasonable amount of time that the 4th place person (and so on) will replace you until we get 3 lists.

How it works
📘You will read as many books as you want from as many of the lists provided as you want.
📘You will score each book using the point system provided below
📘You will keep a running tally of your total in your post (try to keep your books in one comment, if possible for easy tracking)
📘I will contact the 3 highest-scoring readers at the end of the month and they will each choose one listopia list to be included in the next month's challenge.

Challenge rules:
📘No graphic novels, poetry or cookbooks allowed.
📘Standard Rules Apply

Since Towers will be over, I'm going to try my best to read from the lists... who knows if I do though. Sometimes I just get side-tracked.

Truitt_T | 1371 comments I felt a little weird about my pick - The Most Disturbing Books Ever Written - but it had two books on it I knew I planned to read this month, so I figured, 'Why not?'

It's such a strange list - there are plenty of books on it that I think don't belong there and many, many, books I'll never read. At any rate, I hope you all don't mind that I picked something so odd.

Truitt_T | 1371 comments I've got several challenges running at the moment, including the Capital CIties Challenge over in TOAP. It's task based, so favors shorter books, many of which did not fit Listopia - what can you do? But my team has almost finished knocking out the tasks, so I'll be pretty clear to start Monster Hunt. :)

I'm hoping to pick up some more points this last week+. I made sure my Life book counted for this and one other challenge - that was a looong, dense book!

Truitt_T | 1371 comments Donna, I think it's my eveing for asking you questions.
