To add more clues, the sci-fi book I’m referring to is basically about a man who works for a company that thrives to separate the employees work and personal realities to ensure they stay completely mentally focused on the job.

There's a guy who goes to work each day (view spoiler) He eats cereal with a specific type of milk and stares at the clock until it hits 9 am. I think he gets driven to work by a company car each day. He doesn't remember what he does, but time seems to pass because the seasons change and his hair grows longer. I think he talks to a woman colleague who he sees in the office but she isn't supposed to talk to him and then (view spoiler) . I think he works in a big glass building, and has never met the CEO until one point he meets her and she's a young beautiful woman. I think there's a confrontation near the end but I can't really remember what happens or what it turns out that he's doing during the day. (view spoiler)
I also have memories that I think are from the same book that's somehow about (view spoiler) , and about a scene at a louis vuitton boutique with a woman, and something about a sad man who messed things up with his former wife and child, (view spoiler)
I've tried a number of the suggested ways to find this book's title/author, and I am just not coming up with anything. I think it was a fairly recent novel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

"Character is What You Are" by Michael R. Fletcher
