The Virgin in the Ice by Ellis Peters (Chronicles of Brother Cadfael #6)
Finished: 10 May 2015
Rating: ****
Review:
In the winter of 1139, the civil war has flared up again and many are fleeing the city of Worcester seeking refuge elsewhere. Word comes to Shrewsbury of three such fugitives, two noble orphans in the care of a young nun, who were headed this way but have disappeared without a trace. Cadfael sets put to find them - and finds not only another murder to solve, but also something else entirely he never expected. One of my favourites in the series so far.

Oh Dex, Dex, Dex, you complicated gorgeous man!
This book is entirely in Dex's pov and explains what happened to him after Perry walked out on him.
It was great that Rebecca was in this and we got to see more of her, and also showed what a great friend she is to Dex.
I really loved being in Dex's head in this book, loved all of his one liners and have highlighted a few to keep for a rainy day (I can't wait till I can call someone Twatwaffle or Metro Von Dickfucker )

Book: Asa by Jay Crownover
Finished: May 14, 2015
Rating: 4*
Review: So, this took me five days to read and for me, that is a very long time. I've realized I don't really love Jay Crownover books all that much. Rome and Rowdy both received three stars from me. I really don't know why I'm not loving these books but I'm not. I do love the Welcome to the Point books.
I sure did find Asa sexy! I was unsure if he should have his own book. He didn't have one tattoo. Same with Royal. But they were great characters. I had to give it 4* because of the epilogue... seeing the Marked Men boys (and their loves) doing so well and being so happy was a perfect way to end the series.

Review: This didn't waste any time jumping right in. I wish I had reread at least the ending of the first book since it has been a while since I read it. I was a little lost trying to reorient myself! The slow burn between Laurent and Damen really pays off in this one. Each moment between them sizzles with energy. I loved how their relationship grew beyond master/slave and into real respect. But that ending killed me! Bring book 3 out please!!!

Review: I struggled to get into this book! The writing is weird to me. It's very drawn out. Details everywhere. It was until about 40% in that i actually started getting what was going on. The first half was just all over the place. I liked it after the 40% mark thou! The thing that really killed me thou was that Seraphina is treated beyond well by the princess and that seems to mean nothing to Seraphina, and she proves that in the last few pages. Also why does the music assistant have such pull in the royal family? what too unrealistic for me.

Good morning, Happy Friday :○D

Cup of Blood by Jeri Westerson (Crispin Guest #7)
Finished: 16 May 2015
Rating: ****
Review:
Originally intended to be the first book in the series but rejected by the publisher at the time, Cup of Blood was finally published as book #7 in 2014 after extensive rewriting and now serves as a prequel to the Crispin Guest series of medieval mysteries. Beginning with the first meeting of Crispin and a certain young cutpurse by the name of Jack Tucker as well as a poisoned man in Crispin's favourite tavern, the story goes on to encompass a long-lost love, the Knights Templar (thought to have been abolished decades ago), a certain holy relic and much more. A great read just like the rest of the series. Loved finally getting to see how Jack managed to insinuate himself int Crispin's life. Hopefully there'll be many more books to come!

I love these books so much!
JLA just has a way of sucking you in and making you care so much about the characters.
Roxy works in Mona's bar (owned by Jax from book #3) she has a best friend called Charlie, he is now in a care hospital after a horrific accident (caused by a homophobic douchecanoe ) he doesn't even know when she is in the same room with him anymore, he hasn't spoken for 6 years, and yet every week Roxy visits him and takes one of her painting for him.
Painting is Roxys life and she is brilliant at it, there is one thing, one person that she paints more than anything else......Reese Anders!
She has been in love with him since she was 15 and it has never faded, they even got together once, but he was very drunk and passed out before they did the deed.
After waking up in the morning and telling her that he regretted having sex with her, she doesn't mention the fact that they didn't actually get that far and hasn't spoken to him since!
This book had it all, angst in spades, hawt sex and a bit of a thriller to boot, I highly recommend this series.

As the world of Narnia comes to its end, the animals turn against Aslan which results in major battles and deaths of main characters. Even though everything turns out well and the book has a happy ending, it left me a little bit shocked, maybe that's why I gave it 5 stars.
And that's all of Narnia for me, special thanks go to SS Challenge and TCF, without you I would never do it ;)

Review: I am so disappointed. I've heard the best things about this book. I dunno... Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for this type of book right now. I may possibly try to get back to this Series later, years later. But for now I can only give it two stars. Sorry, UGLIES fans!

Review: Well this was another sequel i read recently that didn't live up to my dreams for them! I love this series thou. I love how real it is and how it truly shows how shit will go if this event for sure happens. I did love the happy parts. I won't spoil! The ending nailed it for me. But the middle dragged kinda bad. I can't wait to see how this is gonna end!

Review: CLIFFHANGER NOOOOOOOO! In all seriousness, this one wasn't the worst. It was kind of fun. Fun cliffhangers I can handle - it's the midplot ones that drive me crazy.
Man, poor Mac got beat to rock bottom in this book. It had me in tears before the first third was over. But I love how she rose to the challenges facing her and kept going. She is so strong and that's one thing I love about her. I wish Jericho would get his act together though. Looking forward to the final chapter!

Happy Friday !!!!!

Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong (Age of Legends #1)
Finished: 23 May 2015

Review:
Ashyn and Moria are the Seeker and Keeper of their village, dutybound to lay to rest the spirits of those who die in the Forest of the Dead to which the empire's most dangerous criminals are exiled and to protect their home. But more than just spirits are haunting the woods this year as Ashyn prepares to go on her first seeking, and the legendary monsters from Moria's favoured tales may not be mere legend after all... I fell absolutely in love with this fascinating world and the characters in it. An intriguing series opener that kept me glued to the page. I've seen quite a few reviews calling the pace too slow and complaining over too little action - did we read the same book?! It wasn't all action, but there was certainly enough of it too keep the story moving at a good pace while also leaving room to develop the characters and their relationships. Can't wait to get my hands on the next part!

This was an ok book, some of it was quite funny and made me laugh out loud but really it was just a fun fluffy read.
Janie Morris is a bit of a quirky girl, she opens her mouth and facts figures and useless information comes spewing out!
She has just found out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her (i mean who leaves a condom packet in their pocket!)she then gets promptly fired from her job, and all this in the morning that she meets Sir McHotpants !!
Quinn aka McHotpants seems to making a beeline for her, but she doesn't know why?

Book: Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
Finished: May 26, 2015

Review:
I did not think I was going to cry. Although, I'd been warned I would. I just didn't like Miles that much even though I knew he had some reason for his jerkiness. Of course, when it came out I cried. I ugly cried (view spoiler)
In the end, I fell in love with Miles and wanted so badly for Tate to get through to him. I loved this book just as much as I love all Colleen Hoover books. Now, IMpatiently waiting to see sexy Nick Bateman play sexy Miles Archer!! (Oh! I really, really loved Cap too!)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

(Tucker Wayne, #1)
Finished: 5/28/15
Rating: 4 stars
Review: This is the spinoff of one of my favorite series (Sigma Force) so I'm glad I finally got to read it! Tucker and his dog/partner Kane are two great characters but boy does Kane steal the show. I love how they work together and how much they must trust one another to work effectively. It's such a great dynamic not often explored in novels. I thought the story itself was a little boring, lacking some of the usual mystery from Rollins novels, but still enjoyable as a fluff way to pass the time. Loved the characters enough for 4 stars!

Finished: 29. 05. 2015
Rating: 3 stars
Review: After 'Lazarillo de Tormes' this is the most famous picaresque novel in Spain. The protagonist does become a pícaro after 10 chapters, serves different lords and plays tricks in many occasions. Got 3 stars because for being a picaresque novel it's still to dark and to serious and the main story is constantly interrupted by author's remarks.

Review: I was a sucker for Thirteen Reasons Why, and this book's bio greatly reminded me of it so i wanted to compare. Both are told from male POVs, which i'm trying to read more of. I liked this story but i felt like the plot didn't stay on point to what i thought the plot was supposed to be. Sam's best friend kills himself and leaves him a playlist, but i didn't really see how the songs really fit in. Maybe if i knew more of the lyrics it might make more sense. I'll have to look them up. Overall, the story was okay but i felt like there could have been more depth to it. It was a nice, quick read thou, so there's that :D
