Ended up with 17 out of the 50 but I really enjoyed this one! Every time I saw an animal in my book I was on alert to check my list lol. I actually never realized how many animals are in books in descriptions of scenery etc, and would like to see this one again in the future!
I ended up wrangling...
2 kittens
2 puppies
9 dogs
1 elk
4 cats
7 horses
1 quail
1 rabbit
1 ox
... for a total of 28 critters and quite a full barn!
But I forgot to note the sentences for each. Oops! I even made a note to do so, but my memory has been horrible lately, so it completely slipped my mind. I'll look up as many as I can on Google Books when I update my list of completed books in a few days.

Oh, I wish I'd looked at this thread earlier! This looks like it was a lot of fun! Maybe there will be another chance to do a similar challenge another time.
