I’m currently reading Ghost Story by Peter Straub! Seems interesting so far! Has anyone else read this, if so, what are your thoughts? No spoilers though please! <3
Not really horror per se, but...I finished the classic suspense thriller
Strangers on a Train by Patricia Highsmith
Rating: 4 stars
Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
and I started reading
The Expendable Man by Dorothy B. Hughes
The Coming of Cthugha by John Glasby. I can easily visualize this Cthulhu Mythos tale as a mid-1960s horror film from Hammer Studios or Amicus. Lots of fun so far.
I just finished reading the other stories and poems in A Night Of Screams: Latino Horror Stories: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
I have a short body horror in it entitled, "Detached," but there are a lot of great stories in this anthology to enjoy!

I think it's better then some of the other books I have read by her.

I was thinking of picking up another one of her books, any rec?
I recently finished the Pallbearers Club and currently reading Interview with the Vampire. Any other Paul Tremblay recommendations?
N.B. wrote: "I recently finished the Pallbearers Club and currently reading Interview with the Vampire. Any other Paul Tremblay recommendations?"I liked A Head Full of Ghosts. It's different from Pallbearer's though.

The Cabin at the End of the World, A Head Full of Ghosts, Survivor Song, Growing Things and Other Stories, Disappearance at Devil's Rock

The Coming of Cthugha by John Glasby is a kind of B-movie version of Lovecraft’s Mythos (or rather August Derleth’s reinterpretation of Lovecraft’s Mythos). Lovecraft purists should probably stay away from it, but I really enjoyed this novel. And it’s the first of a trilogy—I’m into the second one, Dawn of the Old Ones, now.

Thanks for the recommendation -- I've heard good things about Head Full of Ghosts.
I just finished Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell and started These Silent Woods by Kimi Cunningham Grant.

I've read:
The Woman in Cabin 10
In a Dark, Dark Wood
The Lying Game
They were all middle of the road for me, not very memorable but you may feel differently so I'd say you could probably check out any of them. I have also thought about trying The Death of Mrs. Westaway.

I've added them to my shopping list, think I might try Westaway as well as
, thanks

I haven't tried The It Girl, maybe if Westaway works out I'll give that one a go too.
Erin wrote: "The Testaments"Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. It was so different from The Handmaid’s Tale, and I think made even better if you've seen the series, on which many of the characters are based. Nice relationship between the author and both sources.
Erin wrote: "The Testaments"I have both, but I was so let down by Handmaid that I just haven't had the motivation to pickup Testaments. Waiting to hear what you think

Thanks - haven't heard of Disappearance at Devil Rock, will have to check it out.
Dawn of the Old Ones by John Glasby, Book Two of his Dark Armageddon trilogy, is enjoyable pulp fiction that wouldn’t have been out of place in a 1940s magazine like Weird Tales. It ain’t Lovecraft, but it kept me turning the pages (or rather pressing the Next Page button on my Kindle). Next up, the finale…
Just finished reading Interview with the Vampire. In an effort to read more of my physical tbr I'm picking up I, Robot. Haven't made a dent in my bookshelf but I intend to eventually

The Weight of Blood
Lauren wrote: "I just finished The Library at Mount Char and I kind of couldn't believe how good it was!!"One of my absolute favourites!!
Just finished Manrattan by Hunter Shea
and had a great time. This author knows how to write a great creature feature! I always enjoy his work
I just finished The Last House on Needless Street & loved it. Best to go in blind! It’s definitely on my ‘favorites’ list now.
Recent Reads:The Weight of Blood★★★★ YA retelling of Carrie
Our Share of Night★★★★ This was a door stopper but I am so glad I finally got around to reading it - loved how atmospheric it was!
Ripe★★★★ Not sure if this would be considered horror but I find corporate work life terrifying. Highly recommend and that cover is amazing!
Ring Shout★★★★★ I cannot believe it took me this long to read this novella! I adored it and am so excited to read everything else by P Djeli Clark.
Currently reading Maeve Fly and NightWhere...about half way through each...very different to see the least, so far finding Maeve Fly a little too meta but still intrigued and NightWhere very forward in its sexual and teased (so far) horror themes, liking it a lot!
