ShamWOW, we did shamrock this week. :) But we should get points for our last few books, we didn't finish round 7 but we did finish round 6 so everything that comes after should count. Done my first book for BABY POWDER. It's always good to read mysteries with a huge task force of police - lots of names to count. Book - Blindman's Bluff by Faye Kellerman - 390 pages - 3 stars

I just noticed that Michelle only got 10 pts. for All the Light We Cannot See even though it is over 500 pages and Rachel got 20 pts. for reading it. Not to be nitpicky in our first place standing ;) but hey, 10 pts. is 10 pts.
oh, oops, It was one of those last minute add ins that is why I had to wait up to the last minute to add it back in. In order for the book to count we had to make sure it was in the bookshelf or it didn't count. In the process I must have put 10 instead of 20 but it's okay.

Also, it was the BotM I had DQs for, which gives us 20 extra points.
It was pure torture. The things I do for these challenges. The writing isn't bad, I am just not a fan of Chick lit, Cozy Mysteries, and all that. Not my cup of tea, but if you like that genre you might enjoy the book. I'm just more of a fan of darker fiction.

RachelvlehcaR wrote: "Michelle, how is the book? I want to read. I'm going to check to see if the library has it."I like it! It's one of my favorite movies, so it is cool to read the behind-the-scenes stories. The different actors chime in with their thoughts throughout so it is really interesting.
I updated a few more characters on our tracker but didn't move anything to the spelling sheet yet.
I will for sure check it out. I love the movie too. I grew up watching it all the time. We are doing awesome. So far 100 points!
Just found out that I have another DQ for another BotM. April 4th. :) That will be another 20 points for it.

The only white cover I have pending is
but it looks like someone will get one eventually. Anyone reading a Y right now? I'm debating my next book and it could be The Year Of The Virgins. My last Cookson book was terrible but I have liked all the ones before that. I spend way too much time thinking about what I should read next. If I actually read during these times, I'd probably finish another book a week. :D

I have some Y and O books I'm reading. I'll bring one of those forward and try to have it done today.
How is Tolstoy and the Purple Chair: My Year of Magical Reading Michelle? Sounds interesting.I LOVED The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, possibly my favourite book I read last year. And it is a very fast read.
I'm loving Tolstoy and the Purple Chair. I love books about books, and books about grief (weird, I know, but it makes me value what I have so much). It might end up being a 4 star read. I'm over halfway through, and I've added a ton of books to my TBR shelf.

Not very many useful letters for us this week. I had to finish it by tonight for a March challenge, though. Sorry!
We are doing great. I've updated the spreadsheets and checked bookshelves. We have 195 points so far. We are close to finishing our second spell out of Baby Powder.I'm having a harder time finding letter for this spell out. Shamrock was way easier.
I'm hoping to finish Dragonfly in Amber tonight. I've been reading it all day. I have 142 more pages.
Finished my first book this week. (I get about 100 pages/day, so that will usually mean 2-3 books/week. Sorry I cannot do more!:-( )

Cheryl, I added it to the spreadsheet and checked your bookshelf. All is good. :)Don't worry about trying to read more book. When signing up for the challenge you said you'd read about 2 to 3 books a week. Don't worry about trying to read more. If you do you'll get red flagged and asked if you want to change the amount of books you said you'd read. If you do, then they might add more people to other teams to make it more even. I fall in that trap all the time. It's a bad trap to fall in. If you say yes, then you are kind of trapped to read that amount all the time to keep ahead. Allison Ann has witness this trap I fell in the TT challenge. I was stuck reading that amount the entire challenge! That was like 50 or 60 books a month. Just way too much. I did it but it was crazy and I have told myself I will read no more than 5 to 10 books a week. If I read more I will still only log in 10, but 10 of the largest paged books for more points.
So, don't worry, 2 or 3 books a week is great!
On the team planning spreadsheet on the tab named members I have it broke down to the max amount of books per week.
Allison Ann and I have 10 books max.
Michell has 6 books.
Cheryl has 3 books.
Mollie and Diane have 2 books.
I will go over this week, but it was an anomaly. Hoping they don't make me change because April will be a busy month at work. We may need to not use one or two of mine this week to keep me around 6.
Michelle, you are good if it only happens this week. They just don't want it to happen every week because then it isn't fair. The teams are based on the amount of books we read. Last week I went way over because we had that extra week of reading and I stockpiled my books. I had them all at 90% to 95% marks then finished them on the first day. That made me almost to the 200% mark. Just keep reading and if you get a message from Renee about it just explain your situation. :)
