June Subdue the Shelf Roll Requests

From your lips ... though I have several books to read before my current Subdue. And a very full work week.

@ Anita and other mods - The spammer posted about 9 hours ago, on many old reviews. I’ll check to see when he joined too.

Gnarly is so sweet! I brought some catmint to make him happy.

I have ordered more sage but man did 'Ethan' hit hard.

We can hear the purring all the way back to the Caboose!
Wonder if some of that catmint will soothe Amy's excessive aversion to poor pining-for-her Gnarly? 😹

It looks like he left the group on his own, or one of the mods deleted him from the group. I think any mod can delete his posts.

@ An..."
I am a mod in 3 other groups and when we get spam we delete it and remove the person/bot from the group.

I used to do this also, but then support pointed out that they need to see the spam before they can take official action like banning that person from the site entirely.
SO now I report the spammer ... on each and every occasion, if necessary, and give it a week before I start deleting.

On the consolidated game board you have me at spot # 58 (Clerk level).
But I posted My review HERE .... and I'm now more than half-way done with spot # 68.

Thanks for the alert! Joanne actually does the heavy lifting on the consolidated boards, so I will confer with her and get you to the right spot!!

Today, I'm sorry to report that:
Cheryl, you've been shook!
And sadly, you need to move back 6 spaces.

Perfect ...

it's winter here so I'll come in my oodie!

I didn't find my last book, Exodus, in hardcover, but the paperback is 608 pages. - https://www.amazon.com/Exodus-Novel-I...
So I'll need 3 dice.

Oh those look comfy! I think my camp chairs may be due an upgrade...

Glad he remembered to get the ones with the beverage holder.

pssst, Joanne, I don't know how I got to #9 on the Consolidated Board? My last read was #7 so this roll gets me to #15

Congrats Tien! I love that fast train.

Diana 6-5-2
Tien 2-1-5
Joy 4
Nancy 6-5-2"
Thanks, Anita! I'd like to use the bonus I earned on 06/14 and move 1 space forward, so I'll land on #18. I'll note it in my tracking post.

Consolidated boards may also be delayed. Hopefully this issue gets rectified soon, but it's been since 3 pm yesterday.**

Tien, I did your Shinkansen roll, and I'm sad to report you are only moving to 23. I wish the randomizer was a little nicer today. Bad Ursula!!!

Yes, apparently the site was totally down for something like 12 hours. Still getting intermittent errors. We all found out how addicted we are!

Looks like GR is still unstable.
@Tien - I fear Ursula may be punishing you for moving me back to Porter Caboose! 😪

ETA: Anita, I'm not sure if this is the first hardcover edition that shows up on US Amazon, as I now only get shown the editions that can be shipped to the UK. Hopefully this one is ok - the first hardcover listed on GR is 913 pages. Thank you!

I had withdrawal pains too Robin! The worst part was that I wasn’t 100% sure which book I was to read next for Subdue! (Was I on 7 or 8?) I had just posted a new board, and I was in the middle of updating the old and new logs when the trouble started.
I didn’t get on until 3 or 4 AM EST. Nearly every thread I could see had last been updated 12-14 hours earlier. It looks like it was completely down for everyone. It’s spotty now I guess, though people haven’t made new reports to downdetector.
Anita, I wouldn’t worry about trying to update the consolidated boards, since the individual boards might not all be up to date. We will all have to be patient through this. (Says the woman whose impatience led her to discover downdetector.ca last night.)
Happy reading everyone!

Hannah, I get the same one on the US site. I wanted to read this, but I worried it would be too similar to the last one. I look forward t9 seeing your review.

I would like a new roll please, (1).

awww, thanks, Anita. I thought we had to read & review #15 first but all good except that it landed me on another scifi/space opera lol - Ursula seems keen for me to read all the scifi on my list

@Amy - it is a delight to be back in the Caboose creating mayhem with Amy and having the Cabanna Boys trip over themselves settling me back in and checking on my comfort.
My boards have also been filled with many books that have lingered on the TBR for a long time, including both series I want to continue and new ones I want to start. Only one of the 17 or so books I have moved to the 'read' shelf in Subdue was on the edge of being a dud (redeemed mostly because it moved a series forward and the next was super). Many were absolutely splendid!
And most were between 400 and 500 pages. That seems to be the length sweet spot for most of my TBR.
It is so easy to be distracted by the shiny new books and latest buzzy books, that we forget the ones we have in the TBR which were just as shiny and buzzy once.
Of course, the TBR hasn't shrunk really since most of mine are series or by authors with multiple series that I will continue reading. It is still progress.
