In either case I hope you can get the books with the translation you like.

The main reason that I typically suggest waiting for Seven Seas translation is because a lot of people can’t afford to pay the outrageous prices for the PFH version and the likelihood of getting scammed into buying a fake copy is very high. Most copies that I see on eBay are fake and I’ve seen many people disappointed after receiving low quality fakes. From what I’ve heard, a lot of the fake copies also don’t even have the translation by E. Danglars but a fan translation instead that isn’t very high quality.

I agree about the prices, but where translation matters to someone, they will even pay more to get the edition they want. I know for some readers it doesn't matter and they're ok with something "as long as it's readable and in English", but for me it matters for example.
But some real PFH copies are still being sold, especially when new edition is coming out, so it's always worth checking. I saw them even being sold for normal prices. But I also suggest caution, look for comparison threads on socials, check official copies photos, even better when you have them in hands, and always ask for photos of the outside and inside the book, best with a paper next to each photo stating the date of the photo for example, so that someone won't just find photos of the official edition to scam you with.

I can understand why the translation would be more important to some people and also why to others it might be more important to pay a cheaper price and have more security in getting an official product. It is true that prices for the PFH copies seem to be coming down. It’s hard to tell without closely examining the sold listings to see how many are actually official though. I guess I just worry that prices are coming down because fakes are more readily available and people assume that they are official. I suppose even if that is the case though an official copy might go under the radar allowing someone who knows what they’re looking for to get a better price.
I must admit that I’ve only ever personally read Suika’s translation of MDZS. I’ve heard a lot of negative things about that translation, but I personally never had a problem with it. That may be because I don’t speak Chinese and I’ve also never read the Exiled Rebels translation though.

Now I'm myself counting down days for the September releases to arrive

and then Little Mushroom manhua but that's in late October :((
