This book was nice. It didn’t hold my attention well. I could have put it down and moved on except for the need to finish for BSB. The main characters were simple and/or cheezie. Hannah, the owner of a bakery, decided she would help local law enforcement to uncover the murderer in her community. I finally became mildly interested near the end as the mystery was revealed.

Review: After a celebration of their 2 year anniversary of their bakery partnership Katie and her aunt and uncle run into an old friend who seems to be in the middle of an argument with her family. The next day a tragic accident takes the life of the friend. However, Katie has her doubts especially when she finds out there were a number of insurance policies on her. As usual she gets involved. She is also at a new stage with her boyfriend Declan, to move in together, move to a new home, set a wedding date? Lots of introspection. Good story but not getting stronger.

Review: It's been awhile that I've read a Plum story but this was just as fun as the others that I couldn't put it down. She manages to get into trouble even when she doesn't try. I still don't understand why she continues with this job but I don't care because the more messes she gets into the funnier it is and with the hot love interest with Morelli I wouldn't mind that too.

Review: Ghostly fun !
What a fun read. It was a good start to Bailey's ghostly adventure. Even though saying your love someone only to hear they died afterwards can be strange but what was weird was to have that person pop up as a ghost and need your help. There were some funny moments but of course there's also those scary moments when you can died. I wonder what will happen next with Bailey but can't wait to find out.

This is the second book in the series and better than the first. There was more action and a little less inner dialog (only a little). Mac, the main character, works in a bookstore. She has partnered with her boss to find a fae relic and killing/banishing other worldly beings while she also continues to seek her dead sisters’ diary. Mac is kidnapped again, and she doesn’t believe Barrons will find her. I thought the name of the book might should be fleshfever rather than bloodfever.

Review:
In the beginning I was sure what to think of this book but it ended better good. Not sure how much of this new tough and strong attitude of Lily will continue but I hope it continues. I wasn't sure how I felt about the loss of her mother and the information she never got but I think the author did it best.

Review: Ember Kearney, half Light and half Dark Fae and rejected by both, spends her life taking investigative work ridding humans of pesky paranormal creatures. Until her best friend's 10 year old brother runs into a couple of Fae who intend to end his life. She kills 2 of the 3 Fae with the help of a Silver Stag. Then the stag shifter turns up at their door offering her and her friend, Angel, jobs with the Wild Hunt agency and a sanctuary for Angel's brother. The alternative is being hunted by the Fae. They, of course, join and then begin working cases. I found this a little lite on the world building. It took more time to explain the office set up and job benefits than what the job entailed. Will not read more of this series.

How it Fits: author's last name begins with B
Review: I really enjoyed the main character in this book. After repeated beatings by his father as a child, a very bad one left him with slow speech. As a result his father deemed him an idiot and left him alone. Ward decided to play along with this and maintained this disguise while subtly defending his brother and sister. When his father dies however, he is passed over for the inherited title. He, with a group of loyal friends, goes off to prove himself in order to reclaim his land. Lots of adventures. I liked that at the end when he shows his intelligence his slow speech didn't miraculously disappear. It made the whole story more honest.

This is a paranormal story about a young girl named Nora who becomes the target of an otherworldly conflict. I enjoyed the overall story. It had a great ending. There were a few things that were hard to take. Especially Nora’s interaction with the authorities. I couldn’t stand the interaction between Nora and her best friend (who really wasn’t a friend at all). Lucky for Nora the new guy, Patch, usually ended up at the right place and at the right time.

Review: Started with a jerk of a husband but towards the end was when I started to enjoy the story. Understandable why she was feeling so intimidated but glad Natalie finally did what she always wanted and needed for herself.
