Its been funny so far, same main character, good chase and catch, lots of action (though not combat) and interesting side characters.
Hope this helps!

Meljean Brook - funny, exciting and gut wrenching at times. I started series halfway through and still loved it.
Shanna Swendson - magic and funny.
Mustn't forget Alexis Morgan - different, but intriguing.
I'm waiting for the next Jaz Parkes book but I think I may be going off the Queen Betsy series from Mary Janice Davidson, but the early books are great fun - start with

hanks Kayanna, I actually read the first 10 pages of Slave to Sensation and got Karen Chance Cassie Palmer series in so switched to start that first. We'll see!
Hum, there are also Katie MacAlister's Dark Ones series. A Girl's Guide to Vampires is book 1. These are very much light-hearted vamps. In addition, she has a YA spin-off from this series written under one of her (many) pen-names. Got Fangs? is the first of the 2 books in this series. She's said that she won't be doing any more books in this series, but she will be having the main characters from it popping up here and here in the other Dark One books.
For UF--the Dresden Files all the way. Storm Front is book 1--with all the troubles that a first book in a series has--but its still a great series. Just almost zero love interest.
Then there are also all of Tanya Huff's series--at present time, I can think of 4 off the top of my head--altho there might be more. Her books are usually UF sometimes humourous UF, sometimes straight UF. Oh--and one of her series was turned into a short lived TV program called Blood Ties.
Patricia Briggs writes UF, fantasy and some SciFi. I can recommend any of her books.
Julie Kenner writes a series about the adventures of a Soccor Mom/Demon Slayer. :o)
Then there are the Accidental books. The Accidental Werewolf is book 1 in the series. There are presently 3 books, with a 4th due out soon. I have enjoyed all of Dakota Cassidy's books, so I guess maybe anything she's written--even if it isn't all PNR.

Oh--and if you want almost straight fantasy (maybe a tiny dab of SciFi) Andre Norton's Witch World 1 series (all um, 17? 18? 19?) books in the series are very good.

I've got some suggestions for you:
Gena Showalter- Lords of the underworld 4 books, Atlantis 4 books & Alien Huntress series 5 books
Laurell K Hamilton- Merry Gentry Fae series 7 books
Christine Warren- The Others series(These are fantastic)7 books
Ronda Thompson- Wild Wulfs of London series
Sherrilyn Kenyon- Dark Hunter and Dream Hunter series, total of 26 books to keep ou busy
You can also check out my READ books and review on my page. I read ALOT of PNR.
Happy reading

JR Ward-The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series
Kim Harrison- Rachel Morgan Series
Charlaine Harris-The Sookie Stackhouse Series
Patricia Briggs- The Mercy Series
Jeaniene Frost- The Night Huntress Series
Laurell K Hamilton- The Anita Blake Series
Kelley Armstrong- The Women of the OtherWorld Series
Just to name a few! I will read almost anything, but these books I can read over and over again!!

The Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs
This is a GREAT series about werewolfs and shape shifters but there are some vampires and fae too. The romance is not center stage but builds with each book.
The Host by Stephenie Meyer
This is a FABULOUS book! It's not a series but it's a really good read. The love story is GREAT! There is also suspense/action and humor.

Kelly Armstrong series is another favorite. Women of the Other World is super especially the stories involving Elena and Clayton the werewolves. She's actually has a book Men of the Otherworld that developes the characters of Clayton in more detail. Loved it!
Mercy Thompson is another great series. Mercy has some punch to her and is a great character.
JR Ward has just started a new series about "Fallen Angels". First book out is Covet and it's got some great potential but it will be hard to beat the Black Dagger Brotherhood series which is topping my list of fav series.
Lara Adrian has a series of books out as well. It run's along the same avenue of BDB and I've really enjoyed reading it as well.
Happy Reading.

I've read three books into the Anita Blake series & will read more! I've also read the first Jaz Parks book and I LOVED it. Next for me to check out (while waiting for amazon orders...) is Mercy Thompson series. :)
Oh and not to forget: Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead!

Anita Blake was great at first, but the last two books, not so much, but the series is worth reading.

The book has romance, vampires, and rock and roll of all kinds!
(giggling) Vampires and romance and rock 'n roll oh my, vampires and romance and rock 'n roll oh my. Sorry--suddenly had to channel Judy Garland from Wizard of Oz. And I enjoyed both books too Leslie.
Lynn wrote: "There are just so many books that I love to read. I am a huge PNR lover!!! Here are a few of my favorites!! I am couting down the days until some of these have a new book coming out. (Mostly the fi..."
I've read the Sookie Series thus far and completely love it. I've read Kelley Armstrong books the Summon and Awakening, a little younger, but I enjoyed it so far. I just get frustrated with her writing style, how is her Women of the Other World series?

Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs
Nine Kingsdoms by Lynn Kurland
Chronicles of the Warlands by Elizabeth A Vaughan
Allie Beckstrom by Devon Monk
This is a blend of paranormal, fantasy, and urban - all romance of course! All of them focus on one main character narration throughout the series, as requested. Sexual content rather intense in a couple (Tairen Soul, Black Jewels) but I don't think it would qualify as erotica. If you have any questions, feel free to message me! :)

And no, I wouldn't classify it as erotica either, the story line is far and wide the main part of the books, the sex, no matter how graphic is just side candy. :)

They are great!!! And I have read and love most of the series that you have named. Hope you enjoy!

....they r addictive, i am on book 7, which i can't finish cause my ereader just broke, i am crying right now btw. :(

If you liked Vampire Academy, you should try some of Richelle Mead's other series. She's my favorite!

I've had the Sparks series downloaded for like 6 months, you just reminded me I have to read it! Thanx!

I just finished Eve of Darkness & I agree with Michelle that it was really good. I was initially worried about the religious nature of the book, but I was plesantly surprised. I just got the other two books in the series from Paperback Swap & look forward to seeing which one of the brothers she ends up with.

I guess Im kinda picky, so any help is much appreciated-thank you! I enjoy both paranormal and Urban Fantasy. I enjoy first person but im not too picky about that.
But a few things I am looking for:
-A good plot
-is having one main character narration throughout the series.(Not a different couple each book like BDB).
-HAS to have Romance and preferably a chase or build up would be nice!
-I love a good romance and steaminess is not a problem, pure erotica however, mehh not my style.
-Action & Suspense! And a little humor is always welcomed!
-On my waitlist is Cassie Palmer series, and Jaz Parks.
*If you haven't glanced at my 'already read' list,
I HAVE ALREADY READ & LOVED:
-Night Huntress, Jeaniene Frost
-Black Dagger Brotherhood, JR WArd
-Sookie Stackhouse, C. Harris
-Fever series, KM Moning (Great series but not enough romance)
-Twilight (Got me reading again)
-Dark Swan series, Richelle Mead
I appreciate anyone willing to help my picky self =) And my fiance will too, Ive been hogging his laptop every night searching for books :)
