Clare O'Beara | 1119 comments Fragment with a lot of likes. They make no sense to me, but I haven't read the books. See what you think.

259 Done.

Claire can I ask you not to add any more posts until librarians are on this page? There is a risk that some will be skipped, plus having to go back to check where I'm up to is a hassle.

Other members - I'd recommend starting your own thread. Don't tack your request on to someone else's thread though.

Clare O'Beara | 1119 comments Thank you, Carol.
I just tend to add quotes here as I spot them, I will leave it for a bit to let the editing catch up.

Thank you. I did look at working in this thread a couple of months ago, but it was too much trouble to look for when a librarian had last worked on then. Most librarians don't like working in these long threads (I believe) but don't mind when they are up to date.

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ | 2278 comments #260 Done
#261 Edited some & deleted some but one that says witl doesn't appear to want to go. I'll check back later.
#262 Done. It doesn't matter in this case, but I would assume if a person read the boxed set, they could attribute the quote to it.
#263 Done, but again, one is refusing to shift. I'll check back later.
Edit - all done.
#264/265 Done
#266 Done
# 267 All done I hope (some were very stubborn) except for the last one. Its not wildly original, but looks ok to me. Another librarian may disagree.
#268 There were a lot more that 14 - someone must have added more after you reported here. Edited/deleted the ones I felt needed attention.
#269 Done, other than the last one looked ok to me. Another librarian may disagree.

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ | 2278 comments #270 I found someone with that name, but none of the quotes had any likes & the English ones had grammatical errors, so I deleted.
#271 Done

The next one (#272) has many pages to check - & I have a project going on Sylvia Plath quotes, then Margaret Atwood, so I'll leave this thread for a while now.

Kristin | 52 comments Hello,

Can you please edit the following quote by:

Change the word "it" to "if" in the first sentence.

Change the second "that" to "take" in the first sentence.

Here is the link to the quote:https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1160...

Jessie Winterspring (jessiewinterspring) | 20 comments Please delete this "Quote"

https://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes...

I can't even call it a quote. I think a reader highlighted it, and it was imported as is. It just reads awkwardly. It looks like a teaser trying to be a quote, but it's not quite a teaser either.

Thank you <3

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ | 2278 comments Everyone, I really wouldn't make requests in this thread. It is a long way behind. I hate working in these long threads & no other librarian seems keen.

#272 Appears done.
#273.1 Did some but there are 40 pages of quotes for this book. I'd recommend making a separate thread for this book & someone can take it on as a project. This could be up to 5 hours of work.
#273.2 If I take away the extra word this is a duplicate quote. I can't merge it as the merge function has been broken for quotes for at least 11 years.
#273.3 Capitalised the first word rather than deleting.

Hi Lieke

#311.1 Imo this should be deleted as the author won't be the first person to say this. I can't delete it though as it has more than 10 likes. Would you be comfortable with deleting this?

#311.2 I found this one on a few quote sites. I haven't read the book though. Maybe the op could make a separate post with a title something like 'Need a Librarian (preferably a Super) who knows Meyers work?"

Edit: An aspiring librarian has a digital copy of this book & this is what she said.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

#311.3 The author won't be the first person to say this & the character name is in the quote - which isn't allowed. Would you be comfortable deleting this? I can't as it has more than 10 likes.

A_MOTUS | 60 comments Hi,

#315.1. & 315.2 I can't find the original quotes. I am not sure which way you want to correct this: should I put capital letters after the "." or should the "." be changed to ","?

#315.3 The author is on GR so they are responsible for the change in their name to match with the cover. I do see they have saved a lot of their quotes but it does not show as their own because of the typography. Maybe the best would be to contact them directly (they seem quite active on GR) and/or ask a Super to make the modification so it connects the quotes.

#316.1 Corrected
#316.2 Deleted (it was really in between sentences, and no likes)
#316.3 I'm not sure, should I delete this one?
#316.4 Done
#316.5 Deleted
#316.3 Deleted

#320.2: I don't see the issue for this specific quote. But I have deleted a few quotes from this author that are over 200 words since it goes against GR policy (when I could, because of the numbers of like).

For 315.3 I changed the author name on the quotes so they are linked to him. But his GR author name should be changed to what is on the cover (by support) and then his quotes will automatically be changed.

It's actually from her other book titled "From The Jump," thank you!

Nick Masopust | 3 comments I recently tried uploading a quote to the page for Tobias Harris's book "The Iconoclast" here

https://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes...

But for some reason the drop down menu only allowed me to place my quote into this page for the Library Edition here

https://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes...

Would it be possible to move that quote from the Library Edition over to the main one linked first? Thanks in advance.
