Hannah | 3288 comments I would like my next roll, thank you. My book was tagged Japan by 286 people:

Joy D | 10073 comments Question: I have landed on several books that had the required number of tags for Japan, but I just noted it on my gameboard for future use. I am now wondering if I had to use them at the time or if it is ok to save them for later?

I'm okay with you using the rolls later if you wish so long as the book was read and reviewed during THIS month (March), and that's documented at the time.

message 254: by Joy D (new)

Joy D | 10073 comments Yes, they are reviewed and documented. Thanks, Anita!

Joanne (joabroda1) | 12568 comments Theresa is busy building a work out gym for our cabana boys, as they have been sneaking all our goodies behind the scenes! And Tien is trying to get the Australian Firemen to drop in and visit for the day-and so our cabana boys will feel slighted if they are not in their best shape-a small viewing for your afternoon delight

Am I? I thought I was on 12, as Joy rolled a 1-1 which moved me back to 0 before my last roll which was 3-3-6.

Joy D | 10073 comments Sorry about that, Hannah. I know it was not the greatest timing.

Hannah, I believe you are on 12 as well, so I will confer with Joanne to make sure we are on the same page, but I double checked, and it looks like 12 to me.

Hannah | 3288 comments Joy D wrote: "Sorry about that, Hannah. I know it was not the greatest timing."

To be honest Joy, you did me a favour! I want to read all of the books on my game boards by the end of the year, so not skipping past large numbers of them every round works for me 😊.

I’ve been noting my future rewards, but I haven’t used any yet. Before I do, I’ll make a list, so I can put the date next to each one as I use them. Can we use more than one at a time? I have quite a few 1 space rewards.

Yes, you may use more than one at a time! If you do a separate list, please note the date you received the reward as well as the date you "spent" it.

In the alternative, just go back to your original notation of the award, and put the spent date there.

Clearly JoAnne was blinded by all the male flexing going on in the Cabanna Boy gym on the Caboose's new duplex. And watching the buff construction workers. Had to send CGI Tom to drag her back to her spot in the Baggage Car. He's now going to make sure she's checked her spreadsheet work before seeking amusement elsewhere while waiting for her book!

message 267: by Joanne (new)

Joanne (joabroda1) | 12568 comments 😂-oh Theresa, you know me too well. Point in fact, when we were younger, my BFF and I would call each other when construction was happening in our neighborhoods-drinks on the corresponding porch was hastily planned-🤣

message 268: by Amy (new)

Amy | 12913 comments So bizarre! Could not find the Villa (my number #69 Subdue book) to save my life. Must have looked in over 12 airport stores in four cities in the last five days, when I saw it all over the place in the airport three weeks ago.... Never ordered it from Amazon, because I figured I would pick it up at a bookstore, and twice I have found myself at a bookstore five to ten minutes too late for closing. Library did not have a copy in New Fiction or Speed Reads. There were 41 people in line for the book at the library - I was like what is going on with this Elusive Probably Nora Roberts -Like little thing? Then lo and behold, its waiting at the library for me after all. I will go and scoop it tomorrow. I was like what happened to the 41 holds? No what else is at the library? Tomorrow, Tomorrow, Tomorrow, which I have been aptly calling Tomorrow (x3) for ease. I put that on my hold list like 3-4 months ago and it is here too. Looks like I might be reading my Charlotte Gameboard Skye Falling on the plane today, so that I can soon be asking for a roll.

message 273: by Theresa (new)

Theresa | 15509 comments This just gave the crew and owners of The StS Express an idea for a future event as we rocket ... or for some of us creep ... along our gameboards.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/angelina...

We could all add to the script as we go, adding a touch of ad lib? Volunteers for the roles? Gnarly has to have a role but not victim as then Amy is far too obvious a choice as murderer. I see JoAnnevamping it up in her fringed flapper dress, long string of pearls, bejeweled ebony cigarette holder, and monogram etched martini glass. Villain? Red Herring? Accomplice? All of the above?

message 274: by Pam (new)

IMPORTANT: I am going out of town for a few days, leaving tomorrow afternoon. I am planning to bring my laptop, but LibraryCin has offered to help with the dice rolling. Anything you can do to assist her would be great i.e. telling her how many dice you need rolled). The consolidated boards may be posted haphazardly, but I'm not sure. I'll be back on Sunday so it won't be long.

@Cindy-once I update the behind scenes Master boards I alert Anita through an IM-will do the same with you. My IM to you can come anywhere between 4-7, depending what I have going on that day.

Anita Pomerantz | 9280 comments Thank you for all the good wishes everyone!! If any special rolls crop up that need my intervention, I think maybe we will just have to hold them until I return.

If I go away again this year for any longer period, I'll make a better arrangement.

Hi, everyone! Thank you for your help and patience while I take this on for a few days. :-)

Please also note that the timing is going to be all over the place, depending if I'm working from home (or not). Even the weekend, I have plans on Saturday and don't know exactly what time I'll be back online. And my time zone is 2 hours later than Anita's!

So, we're likely looking at evening rolls for Friday and Saturday, anyway. Thursday, Sunday should be earlier (mid-afternoon for me... likely late afternoon Eastern time).

Joanne (joabroda1) | 12568 comments Cheryl Per my records, and your personal board, you were last on #62. Today Anita rolled a 7 for you, which would put you #69. You are showing yourself at #66. For now I am putting you on #69-if there was a special roll, that I missed, let me know. If not, just change your personal board to highlight #69

ETA It looks like I missed a roll, on 3/10-you had a 4, which would move you to 66. Is that correct? I am going to change to the board to show you at 66 currently and (73) for you next book. If I am wrong here, please let me know

message 297: by Amy (new)

Amy | 12913 comments For that first paragraph, I was like so excited that Cheryl was with me at 69. Now, alas, at least we can have a conversation in the same train car.

What you wrote under ETA is correct. Cheryl is on 66 and will be moving to 73 next after finishing her book at 66.

message 300: by Joanne (new)

Joanne (joabroda1) | 12568 comments @Joy A looking at the board, currently shows you at #98. If, with your next few rolls, you land on #100, from there(after you read book 100) you will just loop to the beginning of your new board with a roll. If by chance you roll higher than 2, you will roll off the board and then need to roll again to start your new board. Let me know if this makes sense to you or you need further instruction. I just wanted to make sure I had this right, as without a doubt you will encounter this before Anita gets back😁

I doubled check with Anita on this before she left town so I know this will be right
