Catherine (semi active) | 3084 comments One person lists a book, and the next person says if they've read it (if so, how'd you like it?), if it's on their to-read or they've heard of it, or if they haven't heard of it. Then, they list another book.

Ex. Person 1: The Cruel Prince?

Person 2: Read! I loved it.

The Hunger Games?

Jaiden Phillips | 586 comments I've heard of it, my sister read it and from she's told me about it it doesn't sound like I'd have the patience to ever read it...lol...

Really? Aw, the beginning's really good! I love the characters, too:))

Haven't heard of it! The title reminded me of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (both have a name and then an "and" XD)

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day?

Catherine (semi active) | 3084 comments LOL, I read it a REALLY long time ago- I can barely believe I remember it XD

Haven't heard of it! It sounds really good, though- I added it to my to-read:)

Jaiden Phillips | 586 comments Cloak of the Light?

Catherine (semi active) | 3084 comments Haven't heard of it! Which genre is it? Interesting title:)

Princess Academy?

message 12: by Jaiden (new)

Jaiden Phillips | 586 comments @Catherine, well, it's a YA contemporary, it's got a spy book feel to it, sort of. It's hard to explain really, but its super cool! Here's the blurb, because it's kinda not any specific genre, it's kinda it's own thing....lol....
'DREW IS CAUGHT IN A WORLD OF LIGHT - JUST INCHES AWAY FROM THE DARK.
What if...there was a world beyond our vision, a world just fingertips beyond our reach? What if...our world wasn't beyond their influence?
Tragedy and heartache seem to be waiting for Drew Carter at every turn, but college offers him a chance to start over - until an accident during a physics experiment leaves him blind and his genius friend, Benjamin Berg, missing.
As his sight miraculously returns, Drew discovers that the accident has heightened his neuron activity, giving him skills and sight beyond then normal man. When he begins to observe fierce invaders that no one else can see, he questions his own sanity, and so do others. But is he insane or do the invaders truly exist?
With help from Sydney Carlyle, a mysterious girl who offers encouragement through her faith, Drew searches for answers and for his missing friend, Ben, who seems to hold the key to unlocking this mystery. As the dark invaders close in, will he find the truth in time?'
So there it is! It's a really good and beautiful book!!! Totally recommend! :)

Whoaa that does sound good! Just like my kind of book. I added it to my to-read! Wait, so it's a series...how are the other books in the series?

A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow

message 18: by Jaiden (new)

Jaiden Phillips | 586 comments @Catherine, its awesome!
Their cool as well, the second one is about a different character and is a little slower I guess you would say, because it's a time split so part of it is new and part of it is just the events from the first book through a different character's eyes, but it's still awesome! <3 and the last book is....ahhhh! its gotta be my fav! it is soooooo good! <3 <3

I've watched the movie but I haven't read the book:)

Oh OK! Sometimes it's hard for me to get into new main characters, because I'm so attached to the old one. Got it! I'll pick it up whenever I'm looking for a good book (which I'm always looking for, but I don't always have time to get into it:))

message 22: by Jaiden (new)

Jaiden Phillips | 586 comments @Catherine, yeah, me too. But it's just the one book told from the perspective of a side character from the other book, it is really interesting to learn about his life! He's a loveable character, just not Drew :)
Yeah! They really good if you're looking for an action packed series that moves really swiftly :)

Hey! Yeah, I have read it last fall and it was pretty good. I learned about the book because I heard they were making a movie based on it and I wanted to read it before the lines of the public library try to get it lol

Ohh- I'm glad it's not a totally new character. Yes! The book I just read, Matched, moved a little slowly for me, so that'd be a good series to start! I'm in the middle of about 5 books right now, and I can't decide which book to finish first XD

Good to know!

Haha, the library lines can be LONG! I've started to read my books online because there's less of a wait. Did you watch the movie?

message 26: by Jaiden (new)

Jaiden Phillips | 586 comments @Catherine, yeah and he's the mysterious character in the first book, so its interesting to see his story!
Yes, its packed full of action! Warning, it does start out a little sad, but moves along quickly.
Hahah XD

Catherine (semi active) | 3084 comments Ah, sounds like a good book. How's the ending? (Is it happy?) Surprisingly, I enjoy bittersweet endings:)

message 28: by Jaiden (new)

Jaiden Phillips | 586 comments @Catherine, they are great books :)
The ending is very satisfying. Tho a lot of tragedies happen before it the ending is full of hope and so welly woven back to the beginning it's just beautiful!

Catherine (semi active) | 3084 comments Ah, hopeful endings are definitely the best endings. They don't always have to be happy for me, they just need to be hopeful. Cloak of Light just moved up my to-read! I should really make a shelf for books that I REALLY want to read next XD

Catherine (semi active) | 3084 comments Thanks! :))

Never heard of it.

Becoming Mrs. Lewis – Patti Callahan?

Catherine (semi active) | 3084 comments Haven't heard of it- what genre is it?

Twilight?

message 42: by Lilly (new)

Lilly | 409 comments @catherine I haven’t yet read it but it historical fiction. It’s the story of how Joy became Mrs. Lewis.

I’ve heard of it and didn’t have that much of an inkling to read it because of it having vampires. But I’m also slightly curious because I never have watched or read anything with vampires in it. Is it any good?

Medallion – Dawn L. Watkins?

Catherine (semi active) | 3084 comments Oh, cool! Is it on your to-read?

My friends and family really liked it, but I'd rate it a 4 on a scale of 1-5 (5 being best). The action is really good, but the romance can get a little...over the top sometimes😂

Haven't heard of it! Interesting title, though.

Animal Farm?
